Just returned from an inspiring few days at the @Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit. It was wonderful to hear so many stories of leadership, innovation, and resilience from the women who are shaping our future. I was also honored to speak with Fortune’s Maryam Banikarim 🗽🚕 ❤️ on stage about the work we’re doing at America250 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It was a great opportunity to share how we are bringing people together to create the largest, most inclusive commemoration in the nation’s history, and invite some of the world’s most prominent women to join the effort. You can watch our session here: https://lnkd.in/efdQfYJ7 A big thank you to Maryam and the entire Fortune Most Powerful Women team for a great event! #FortuneMPW

Celebrating inspiring stories like Sara’s highlights the dreams and resilience of immigrant families. Her vision for a future where every Latina girl feels seen and understood underscores the vital importance of representation. Sara’s journey illustrates America’s promise—a land of hope and possibility—while reminding us that the pursuit of justice and equality continues. With voices like hers leading the way, we can look forward to a future that celebrates every story. 🌟 #America250
As #HispanicHeritageMonth comes to a close, we’re inspired by Sara’s first-place #AmericasFieldTrip submission, which captures the essence of what America means to her—a land of opportunity intertwined with the rich tapestry of her family's immigrant experiences. She writes, “I hope to create a future where a little Latina girl feels seen, validated, and understood, where she can make sense of all her broken puzzle pieces.” Sara's story is a powerful reminder of the importance of representation and the need to amplify young voices within our communities. Today is also Columbus Day, commemorating Christopher Columbus’ arrival in the Americas in 1492. Columbus’ journey marked a turning point in world history, paving the way for centuries of exploration and cultural exchange between Europe and the Americas. While it’s a day to reflect on the bold spirit of discovery, it’s also important to recognize the complex history that followed. Today, we recognize the act of exploration that set the creation of the United States in motion. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eE78gyzS #America250

On October 14, we observe Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a time dedicated to honoring and celebrating the history, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous communities. The day serves as a powerful reminder of the rich cultures that existed before European settlement. It’s also an important opportunity to raise awareness about the struggles they faced and still face while fostering greater understanding and unity among diverse cultures. The day highlights the contributions and sacrifices indigenous people have made in the Americas. As we approach America’s 250th anniversary in 2026, let’s continue to learn, reflect, and celebrate the legacies of Indigenous peoples across the nation. #AmericasFieldTrip is about empowering young people to become the change-makers of tomorrow. By connecting with our past, they’re gaining the tools and inspiration to shape the future, and that’s what makes this initiative so important. I enjoyed discussing this on WUSA-TV, sharing how we’re fostering civic pride and leadership in the next generation. This is about giving them the confidence to leave their own mark on our country’s story. 🌟 #America250

I’m excited to shine a light on Jacob Nadal, a passionate public servant with seven years at the Library of Congress and experience across various public libraries and universities. Inspired by his family's legacy of educators and caregivers, Jacob views service as a way to nurture others' potential, akin to hosting a celebration. For Jacob, giving back fosters meaningful connections that benefit everyone. He envisions a future where the next generation embraces joy and kindness, building a culture of service. His work with the Semiquincentennial Commission and the America Gives initiative reflects his commitment to community, encouraging all of us to engage in making a difference. #AmericaGives #America250 https://lnkd.in/e_BADnJe

What an honor it was to gather with members of the Congressional America250 Caucus, federal agencies, and our national partners—a powerful reminder of our shared journey toward the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I was moved by the insightful discussions from Justice Anthony Kennedy, whose reflections on our nation’s legal and moral evolution continue to inspire, and Ken Burns, whose upcoming project on the American Revolution with Jeffrey Rosen shows us the enduring significance of history in shaping our future. The evening was not only a time to reflect but also a powerful call to action. As we approach this historic milestone, we are reminded that public service and collective action will be key to honoring our past and shaping a future grounded in unity and shared values. Thank you to everyone who joined us, including Justice Brett Kavanaugh, on this incredible evening. Let’s continue working together to celebrate this milestone and inspire future generations. #America250 #Semiquincentennial

What a special evening I had at the Power of Beauty Celebration with Keep America Beautiful®! It was uplifting to witness the profound dedication of individuals and organizations committed to sustainability and volunteerism. Their unwavering passion and relentless hard work serve as shining examples of how collective effort can profoundly impact our environment. The Greatest American Cleanup, with its ambitious goal of removing 25 billion pieces of litter, powerfully illustrates how every small action contributes to meaningful, positive change. This initiative resonates with America250 and our new program, America Gives. Just as Keep America Beautiful unites communities to care for our environment, America Gives strives to rekindle our nation's spirit of service and charitable giving. As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, let us channel this remarkable energy and dedication into making 2026 the most impactful year of service ever recorded. The enthusiasm and commitment I saw reinforced my belief that, united, we can achieve extraordinary things and continue our nation’s proud legacy of service and unity. #America250 #DoBeautifulThings #GreatestAmericanCleanup #Semiquincentennial
