This past Saturday, participants from our Girls Tech Boot Camp had the privilege of attending the renowned Global Leadership Summit Nigeria in Apapa Nigeria, Lagos. The summit was an exceptional opportunity for these young women to learn from world-class leaders and thought influencers, gaining firsthand insights into leadership that will shape their futures. The summit featured an incredible lineup of speakers who left a profound impact on our attendees. Craig Groeschel , co-founder of Life Church, inspired the audience with his session on "Permission to Obsess," emphasizing the importance of relentless focus and dedication in pursuing meaningful goals. Erwin Raphael McManus, also shed light on “The Seven Frequencies of Communication,” urging leaders to adapt and connect in ways that resonate with diverse teams and communities. Amy Edmondson , a Harvard Business School Professor, shared her research on “The right kind of wrong,” highlighting how leaders can create safe spaces for learning and growth through supportive, failure-tolerant cultures. Our Girls Tech Boot Camp participants left with valuable lessons on resilience, empathy, and effective communication. These young women are not just learning technical skills but are also being equipped to lead in a rapidly evolving tech landscape. At Rubies Tech Foundation, we believe in nurturing leadership as much as technical ability, and this summit has been a significant step in empowering our girls to become the changemakers of tomorrow. Here’s to inspiring a new generation of confident, compassionate, and innovative leaders!
