#SchneiderElectric hosted a delegation from India’s Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGE&T) and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship as part of the GreenSkills+ project at our Headquarters in France last week. This partnership, supported by GIZ India, focuses on addressing India’s skills gap in green energy sectors. The discussions centered on vocational training for electricians and solar technicians, essential for India’s anticipated creation of millions of green jobs by 2030. 🚀 The study tour allowed knowledge sharing between India and France, aiming to enhance youth employability in sustainable energy.💚
A week driven by #sharing, #collaboration, and #learning! 💼🇮🇳🇫🇷 This week, I had the pleasure of meeting the delegation from the Directorate General Of Employment And Training (Dge&T) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, India at our Schneider Electric headquarters as part of the GreenSkills+ project, a partnership between Schneider Electric and GIZ India, within the framework of the develoPPP programme, which GIZ implements on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Our discussions focused on the goals of our partnership and how we can collaborate with key stakeholders from industry, government, and academia to shape the future of green energy skills. We explored the evolving landscape of the just energy transition and the critical need to develop training models that empower the #Youth in the energy sector. Why is this partnership so important? It’s estimated that India could create around 4.5 million green jobs by 2030 and around 35 million green jobs by 2047. However, the scarcity of skilled workers poses a significant challenge. To address this gap, the GreenSkills+ project is dedicated to providing simulation-based vocational training for green energy jobs in India. 🔋 The delegates are at the Schneider Electric headquarters in France, as part of a study tour to: ✅ Experience firsthand Schneider Electric in France’s approach to upskilling in the energy transition space, particularly electricians and solar technicians. ✅ Share knowledge on vocational training in India and connect with industry, government, and academic experts from France and other countries at Schneider Electric Youth Impact Through Learning Collaboration for Future Skills and Educational Landscape Transition’ event It’s an honor to contribute to enhancing the employability of trainees in the green energy sector. 🌱💡 #GreenSkills #YouthImpactThroughLearning #ImpactCompany Francois MILIONI Ravi Bhushan Singh Marie Castella Zanelle Dalglish Manuela Beltrán Castañeda Poornima PURI Cédric Hénon Prashanth Shetty Raeesa Suffla Lili Herenger Priyanka Kohli Tanya Arun
