Sidley is representing Enterprise Products as antitrust counsel in connection with its US$950 million #acquisition of Piñon Midstream LLC. The cash transaction will fast-track Enterprise’s entry into the eastern flank of the Delaware Basin in New Mexico and Texas, and expand the company’s natural gas processing footprint. Sidley represented Harrison Street in a joint venture with Competitive Power Ventures Group to expand their strategic partnership with Harrison Street executing an agreement to acquire an ownership interest in CPV Renewable Power LP, a CPV Group affiliate. Through this investment, Harrison Street will support and accelerate CPV Renewables’ growing #renewableenergy development business, which comprises nine operating and under construction projects. Sidley is representing electric vehicle maker Waev in a first-of-its kind legal action against the U.S. Department of the Treasury challenging the IRS rule that excluded the company’s low-speed GEM line of electric cars from the Inflation Reduction Act’s #electricvehicle tax credit program. The company is also challenging a 50-year-old Environmental Protection Agency regulation defining a “motor vehicle” as part of the dispute.
