  • Meet LDP Alum Alec! He started as an IT intern at Textron Systems and then joined the Leadership Development Program with his first rotation at Bell on the infrastructure team and his second rotation at Textron Information Services doing project management. Post LDP, Alec became the IT Security Manager at TSV before accepting his current position at Corporate Headquarters. Now he leads the teams that are responsible for executive/C-suite IT support, enterprise service management, and IT infrastructure for all corporate locations globally all while working towards his MBA from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. With a degree from the University of Alabama Honors College and an honorary degree from Baylor University, Alec is collecting degrees left and right! His favorite memory with Textron is in China when he visited Textron – Shanghai this past December and visited the Temple of Heaven in Beijing during snowfall. #LDPAlumni

  • Meet LDP Alumna Makala! She has been with Textron for almost 3 years, since August 2021. She graduated with a Master of Public Health specializing in Environmental Health Sciences from The Ohio State University. In her first year-long rotation, she was an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer at Textron Aviation in Wichita, Kansas supporting the Plant 1 fabrication facility. She gained experience in manufacturing health and safety programs during this role. In her second year-long rotation, she was at Textron Corporate in Providence, Rhode Island and was EHS Specialist. In this role, she became a certified internal health and safety auditor and supported multiple programs of Textron’s Achieve 2025 Goals. She repatriated to Textron Aviation August 1st 2023 and joined the outlying facilities EHS team as a Regional EHS Engineer. She supports the New York and Greensboro Domestic Service Centers, as well as all AeroMotion facilities in regards to environmental, health, and safety matters. She enjoys the ability to travel and support a diverse set of facilities (fabrication and aircraft maintenance). The LDP program allowed her to network with EHS professionals across the Enterprise early in her career, attend trainings, conferences, audits, and more to build herself as an EHS professional. Also, she made lifelong friends in the LDP program and is thankful for all the memories and many new cities and experiences! #LDPAlumni

  • Meet LDP Alum Zach! Zach is currently a Sr. Accounting Analyst at Textron Specialized Vehicles (TSV) where he is responsible for Textron GSE’s cost accounting which includes quarterly cost updates, variance review, and supporting product development in the costing stage. Zach also started with TSV as an LDP, taking on the role of an Accounting Analyst primarily focusing on inventory/ operations accounting where he also supported GSE’s move from Kennesaw to Cartersville. For his second rotation Zach was an Audit Analyst at Corporate where he travelled to work on multiple domestic and international finance audits. This was also his favorite part of the LDP program as it gave him the chance to visit Textron locations across the world which helped his personal and professional growth! Zach’s advice for current LDP’s is to “reach out beyond the defined role and responsibilities of your job description and look for ways to help different functions and departments. #LDPAlumni

  • Corporate LDP Lucia is currently on the Corporate Audit team and has had the opportunity to travel to various business units, both domestically and internationally. Her favorite was when she visited Kautex Japan at their Hiroshima plant to perform a financial audit. During her time there, she was able to see the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, the Genbaku Dome, and Miyajima Island. While Japan has been her favorite so far, she has also travelled to Canada and Brazil for her role.
