Last week, I-REN attended the Leaders in Energy Summit presented by the FlySBD - San Bernardino International Airport Along with hosting our own booth, we were invited to speak about the recent Energy Challenges in the Inland Empire and join the panel discussion with elected officials from Apple Valley, Ontario, San Bernardino, and Rancho Cucamonga. Building industry professionals within Riverside and San Bernardino counties are invited to I-REN’s first forum on May 22, 2024. It will be held on Zoom, from 9:00am-12:00pm. This “big tent” event will connect a diverse group of workers involved with the California Energy Code (Title 24, Part 6). From hearing about the upcoming 2025 code changes straight from the California Energy Commission, to participating in discussions for both the public and private sector, attendees will get a comprehensive picture of all the players involved in Energy Code permitting and compliance. It is only through partnerships and collaboration that our Uplift San Bernardino at the MAKING HOPE HAPPEN FOUNDATION interns have been able to have such wonderful experiences, learning opportunities, connections with so many experts, and more. Learning about EV infrastructure has paved the way to learn about so many other careers air quality, electrification and automobile sector! We are so grateful for the Community Air Grant at #CARB that opened up doors to work alongside #GreenParadigmConsulting and now SkillFusion. So grateful to Ms. Vega at San Gorgonio High School and the Jobs for California Graduate Program students for joining us and getting us there. All the EVs showcased, chargers, and people we met was a wonderful experience we won't forget!
