Barry Sirard, a third-year SELECT medical student at the #USFHealth Morsani College of Medicine, was recognized for his compassion while assisting a patient during a high-risk delivery. From the beginning, Sirard went out of his way to introduce himself, and when the patient needed assistance during the delivery, Sirard stepped in to offer words of encouragement and count to 10 during her pushes. Thanks in part to his efforts, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. For his actions, Sirard received a USF Health Culture Coin during a small ceremony at a Lehigh Valley Health Network hospital in August. https://bit.ly/4gQTrvt
