It all starts with good device hygiene. This year's Jamf Security 360 report found that 40% of all mobile devices being used for work had critical or high vulnerabilities, which is...alarming. Check out WeGotYourMac.com for our latest episode with Michael J. Covington, Ph.D. of Jamf, the corresponding blog post, and to download the full 2024 Security 360 report. #Apple #Mac #Podcast #Jamf

AI and machine learning processes bogging down your system? Throwing more memory at them may not be the right solution. With new AI PCs, the neural processing unit (NPU) takes on a lot of those tasks, letting devices with lower specs work more efficiently. All modern devices have central and graphics processing units (CPU and GPU). An AI PC adds a neural processing unit (NPU) to the mix. The NPU handles all those on-device AI tasks we take for granted, like noise cancellation and making it look like you're taking a work call from the moon. Without an NPU, those tasks land on the CPU and GPU, resulting in slower performance and shorter battery life. Check out out latest episode and blog post at WeGotYourMac.com for more insights! #Apple #Mac #Podcast #AIPC #NPU

I was lucky enough to join Matt Fisher, Phalgun Saraf, and Cheryl Slater today for an Apple #VisionPro Experience. Having interviewed both Adam Reiser and Kevin English in their VisionPro personas for We Got Your Mac it was fantastic to experience it from the ‘inside’. It certainly lived up to (my very high) expectations, and I’m excited about the possibilities. Look out for more discussion on the #podcast about our experience and the potential of #SpatialComputing. Thanks to Vanessa Kyte (she/her), Jason Langridge and the team for a fantastic introduction to VisionPro.
Every now and then you get to experience a breakthrough moment. My first taste of using Apple Vision Pro today at Apple UK in London has convinced me that spatial computing has a bright future. Aside from the specialist engineering and medical use cases that benefit from the immersive environment, I'd love to spend more time with the device, especially testing areas like design collaboration.

The Apple beta season can be hectic, especially when updates are released every couple of weeks. For IT admins, it can be tempting to wait until the dust has settled to start testing more fully-formed versions of the new operating systems, but that might be a mistake. It's critical that anyone charged with preparing for OS releases submit feedback early and often so that Apple has a chance to address bugs. Check out our latest episode, sponsored by Kandji, for more insights! #Apple #Mac #Podcast #Kandji #MDM #WWDC
