Located at the geographic center of three Tier-1 research universities, RTP is the largest research park in the United States and a premier global innovation center. The Women In Bio RTP Chapter is a diverse collective of life science professionals who share the goal of enabling and empowering women to fulfill their career aspirations. Our members reflect the increasing growth of the life sciences. We belong to biotech and pharma companies, universities and institutes, law and accounting firms, marketing and PR firms, CROs, and CMOs.

Kimberly is a chemist by education, with a bachelor’s from UNC-Pembroke and a master’s from UNC-Charlotte. She also obtained her MBA from East Carolina University. Kimberly is passionate about providing outstanding service to her clients as well as developing her team professionally and personally. She founded Portrett Pharmaceuticals in the fall of 2021 with the goal of creating a customer service experience for clients that is unique for the pharma industry while creating a work culture that is collaborative and focused on growth.     In this edition of the WIB-RTP Leadership Spotlight, we are excited to celebrate Dilmeet Singh, Co-Vice Chair of YWIB who is dedicated to mentoring young women in STEM and healthcare! Dilmeet is an experienced and competent scientist, educator, and researcher passionate about Regulatory Medical Writing, Regulatory Affairs, teaching Chemistry, and career development. She has strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.   She has an M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Toledo and an MSHS in Regulatory Affairs from George Washington University. She has over 20 years of experience across academia and the pharmaceutical industry. She is well-versed in strategy and processes for drug design, clinical development, and the clinical research industry.  Currently, she teaches Chemistry at Wake Technical Community College, NC. She likes to empower her students to attain high-quality standards and achieve success and excellence in education, career, and life.  She is also a certified Yoga instructor. She actively participates in outreach events such as setting up educational booths for Clinical Research awareness on behalf of Sikhs in Clinical Research.  Dilmeet volunteers with the AMWA Carolinas on the Conference Committee supports the Raleigh Speech and Debate League, and serves on booster boards for speech, debate, and marching band programs.
