With just 2,000 days left to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, ensuring transformative change for cities across the world on their path towards a sustainable future is vital now more than ever. The latest Arcadis Sustainable Cities Index 2024 underscores the critical need for sustainable urban development to ensure our cities are liveable, resilient, and thriving for generations to come. From Germany's commitments to significantly increase renewable energy from sources like wind and solar power by 2050, to Paris' urban forests project, although it shows many cities making good progress on their sustainability commitments, it's important for other cities to follow suit and not get left behind.
