Delhi Traffic Police issued a road advisory on Monday, July 15 informing the public that traffic movement will be affected on Hauz Khas Village Road in view of the Jagannath Yatra. Traffic restrictions are in place for vehicles heading towards Hauz Khas Village “in the carriageway from Aurobindo Marg”.
These traffic restrictions will remain effective from 4:00 pm. to 8:00 p.m. The Traffic regulatory authorities further advised commuters to avoid the earmarked route for Jagannath Yatra and plan their journey accordingly.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly twitter), Delhi Traffic Police stated, "Today, in view of Jagannath Yatra, traffic will remain affected on Hauz Khas Village Road in the carriageway from Aurobindo Marg towards Hauz Khas Village from 4PM to 8PM. Commuters are advised to avoid this stretch and plan their journey accordingly.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Traffic Police advised residents against taking Chaudhary Fateh Singh Marg routedue to water-logging following heavy showers in the national capital. Traffic flow was diverted through Majnu Ka Tila route. The authorities also deployed personnel to flush out water. As per the latest update, waterlogging has been cleared.

Taking to X, Delhi Traffic Police stated, “Due to water-logging on both carriageways of Ch. Fateh Singh Marg, traffic diversions are effective. Kindly follow the advisory.”
In another post, the traffic authorities intimated the public against traffic restrictions on the Anand Parvat route. The post reads, “Due to water logging on Anand Parvat (New Rohtak Road), traffic diversions are effective.” Traffic heading to Punjabi Bagh, coming from Liberty Cinema, has been diverted to Swami Narayan Marg.
Water logging was reported in several areas in the capital city following heavy rains. Traffic movement was affected in New Rohtak road “due to waterlogging at Anand Parbat near Gali No.10.” The authorities said traffic movement was affected on “the carriageway from Nangloi towards Tikri Border near Metro Pillar No. 507.”
