Well, what else to say, its Molotovs, grab and throw them at your enemies to roast those fuckers.

TECHNICALS:
- Molotovs will blow up as soon as they touch any wall, given enough velocity, thanks to custom collision detection code. Sometimes they won't blow up due to imprecissions of code, it's not intentional, but can happen, tough luck
- Molotovs works best with my modded exes. They aren't required but with them molotovs wont blow up near bushes or water.
- You can shoot molotov lying on the ground with any weapon to blow it up manually
- NPCs will react to approaching Molotovs by trying to run away from them. If they caught on fire, they will panic and run sporadically.
- Molotovs should be sold at various traders, but not militarized ones like Duty, Army, etc
- You can buy molotovs in new game loadout screen for various factions, Bandits and Renegades have one Molotov from the game start (MCM REQUIRED)
- You can craft Molotov by right clicking on Nemiroff or Putinka vodka and choosing "craft Molotov", if you have enough materials for recipes. If you hold "Shift" while clicking, you can craft all Molotovs until you don't have enough materials. If you don't have materials, clicking on craft will show recipes in Messages tab in PDA
- The recipes are variations of Vodka, Gasoline or Jerrycan fuel and some sort of cloth or paper

1.5.2 is starting to get tempting now
Don't be afraid of 1.5.2. I had to manually merge my mods with 1.5.2's unpacked files (just look at the files affected in 1.5.2's changelog) and uh... it took me 2 whole days outside of work hours. The only mod that didn't work properly for me was the Skin With Knife In Inventory mod.
Luckily for me, I'm very stingy in selecting my mods and thus, I didn't have too overwhelmingly much to change. Hell, I don't even use BaS because: with all due respect to BaS, I don't like my left arm coming out of my left cheek instead of my shoulder when wielding shotguns. But I do have other scopes and weapon mods installed with proper arm alignment to make up for it a little.
Was it worth it? Well, if you want the new mods and their complete 1.5.2 features. You'll have to do it sooner or later anyway.
By the way, if you don't mind me asking, exactly what kind of mods that needs patching?
Addons where the author modified a base anomaly script that changed in 1.5.2 there are only a few of those as i have been leading a crusade against them for 18months.
any addon that added or changed outfits.
Raven's right about the outfits, along with a handful of weapons that had their ltx files updated.
Another file that got updated and used by quite a few mods on 1.5.1 is the actor_effects.ltx. Also, the Rats Are Not Enemies mod used by quite a number of folks, which uses the game_relations.ltx, is affected too. craft.ltx is another big/common one, just to give 3 examples.

I've switched to 1.5.2 - can attest that all worthwhile stuff works or can be easily adapted if you know how to patch

Agreed. I had over 100 addons, and after switching to 1.5.2 I only had to patch 5 of them, and out of those 5 there was only one addon I wasn't able to get completely working with 1.5.2. It is definitely a worthwhile upgrade! And using the compare feature in Notepad++, patching is pretty simple.
+1 for this. I was skeptical, but my largest working modpack to date is 296 mods. Nothing changed as far as how I build with MO2 and WinMerge.
Hi, Mr Demonized, even though the molotovs are bolt class items, will this mod still allow the molotovs to go into the grenade slot and thus, be useable with the quick-grenade-throw key, as well as being a selectable grenade variant from the ammo wheel?
yes, it does work with grenade slot and quick grenade throw. But im not sure about ammo wheel, you have to check it yourself

I tried 1.5.2 and I did not find so many benefits to try to make the large amount of Addons that I have in 1.5.1 into 1.5.2, it was not worth it.
But I knew "I KNEW" that modders were going to take away that peace.

1.5.2 was half minor bug fixes you probably would never notice and half modder toys. There are all kinds of cool things that we can do now that we could not.

I don't have 1.5.2 but I have custom EXE's from Screen Spaced Shaders and this seems to work fine for me. Thanks, having another type of throwable weapon does mean a lot!. Can't wait to roast some Military patrols and Monolith groups!.

hi, i'd like to give some feedback regarding this addon:
1. There should be a zippo mesh in actor's hands when molotov is being ignited. (can be taken from dead air)
2. There should be a particle effect playing on the burning fabric of the bottle in viewmodel
3. There should be a burning particle effect on the mesh that is flying in worldspace that also emits light.
(In general I'd recommend looking at molotov cocktails in far cry 3-4 to see how it should all look.)
4. All of the scripting component should be scrapped and rewritten. There should be no more than just one script with 30-50 lines of code that gives molotov its functionality. Currently there's a minituare novel written in lua that comes stock with the addon. It's nice that you're experienced but overcomplicating is a common pitfall. "Keep It Simple, Stupid."
5. Also I found these lines of code in the molotov scripts:

I don't imagine people who are trying to get the Invictus achievement and have installed this addon would appreciate this much.
