Taking the significant rise of US stocks and the weak yen as the material, the Tokyo market started trading with a buying focus. Nikkei, which recovered the 37,000 yen range with the opening, has gradually expanded its gains. In the afternoon, it also recovered the 38,000 yen range for the first time since August 1st. When it finished, the 200-day moving average and the 25-day moving average both exceeded and ended trading. Prime market saw an overall increase with more than 90% of its stocks rising.
At the closing, the Nikkei average was up 1,336.03 yen (+3.64%) from the previous day to 38,062.67 yen. The trading volume of the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market was 1.807 billion 753 thousand shares and the trading value was 4 trillion 997.4 billion yen. Among rising stocks of all industries, the significant increase in the petroleum and coal products, electric appliance, mining, nonferrous metal, and banking industries stood out. The number of rising stocks in the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market is 93%, while the falling stocks is 5%.
The top contributor to the increase in stock prices was First Retail＜9983＞, which pushed the Nikkei average up by about 249 yen with one stock. The second place was Tokyo Electric＜8035＞, followed by Advantest＜6857＞, TDK＜6762＞, SoftBank G＜9984＞, Recruit HD＜6098＞, Shin-Etsu Chemical＜4063＞, and others.
On the other hand, the top contributor to the decline in stock prices was Dentsu Group＜4324＞, which lowered the Nikkei average by about 1 yen with one stock. Second place was Mercari＜4385＞, followed by Toho＜9602＞, Hino Motors＜7205＞, Sumitomo Chemical＜4005＞, and others.
