I tried balance all three presets for all type of biomes, day and night.
Check the Images tab for comparative!
I've been playing with the colorful preset for a while when I was in plains biome and Blue Tint on wasteland, but it's just a suggestion, you can try all three and see what suits your tastes best.
I didn't notice any fps hit.
