This mod adds the Phoenix Soul Sorcerer subclass to the game.

This subclass is an adapted combination of D&D 5e’s Pyromancy (Plane Shift - Kaladesh) and Phoenix Sorcery (UA 28) Subclasses.
It features elements of both, as well as elements merely inspired by the thematic.

Your power draws from the immortal flame that fuels the legendary phoenix.
You or your ancestors perhaps rendered a phoenix a great service, or you were born in its presence.
Whatever the cause, a shard of the phoenix’s power dwells within you.

. ⋆ Passive • Heart of Fire ⋆ .
A powerful flame burns inside you, day and night.

Whenever you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that deals Fire damage, fiery magic erupts from you.
This eruption causes enemies within 3m / 10ft of you to take Fire damage equal to half your Sorcerer level (minimum of 1).




. ⋆ Ability • Ignite ⋆ .
A simple touch could be devastating.

You have the ability to start fires with a mere touch. As a Bonus Action, you can magically ignite an object, weapon, or enemy
creature, causing them to burst into flames. The fire kindles for 2 turns before it extinguishes.

The Aflame status this ability inflicts on enemies deals 1d6/2d6/3d6 Fire damage per turn.
Unlike Burning, enemies set Aflame don’t deal additional Fire damage with their attacks.

Setting your own or an allies’ weapon Aflame causes said weapon to deal an additional 1d4/2d4/3d4 Fire damage.
These damage values scale at levels 5 and 10, like Cantrips.






. ⋆ Passive • Fiery Spirit ⋆ .
Much like the flames you seek to control, your mind is impudent and untamable.

As a practiced wielder of the flame, the fire’s heat no longer bothers you. You are Resistant
to Fire damage, and any Fire damage you inflict upon others ignores their Fire Resistance, should they have it.

If you have chosen the Elemental Adept: Fire feat, this Passive also ignores Immunity to Fire damage.



. ⋆ Passive • Phoenix Spark ⋆ .
As the fire’s vessel, its survival instinct is yours.

If you are reduced to 0 Hit Points, the Phoenix calls you back to life.
Your body bursts into flames, and you are returned to 1 Hit Point. Enemies within 6m / 20ft of you take Fire damage
equal to half your Sorcerer level + your Charisma modifier.





. ⋆ Passive • Nourishing Flames ⋆ .
While others perish in the flames, you are rejuvenated.

Your Fire spells soothe and restore you. When you expend a Spell Slot to cast a Spell that includes a Fire damage roll,
you regain Hit Points equal to the level of the spell slot used to cast the spell + your Charisma modifier.



. ⋆ Ability • Rebirth ⋆ .
The Phoenix looks upon you.

As a last resort, you may make the ultimate sacrifice. Using your Action, your Bonus Action, and 2 Sorcery Points, you may
give up your life in hopes to be born anew. For 1 turn, you transform into a fragile Phoenix Egg.

Should this Egg survive until your next turn, you are reborn, immediately gaining
all benefits of a Long Rest except for Hit Points, which are fully restored at the end of the turn.

If the Egg dies, your soul dies with it, and your life ends.


Custom Rebirth VFX



You wield the flames at will, and excel at it. You have access to additional Fire spells that
other Sorcerers do not have access to. You gain the following spells:

Level 3: Hellish Rebuke
Level 5: Heat Metal
Level 9: Fire Shield
Level 11: Flame Strike

These spells are treated the same way as other Sorcerer spells, and may be cast using a Spell Slot of the appropriate level.

Installation

- Download this mod
- Unzip the archive & drag the .pak file into your mods folder
- Launch BG3 Mod Manager
- Drag this Mod from the “Inactive Mods” to the “Active Mods” tab
- Click “Save Load Order to File”
- Click “Export Order to the Game”
- Launch your game and find this subclass in the Class tab in CC!

I recommend loading this mod after other Sorcerer subclass mods if you'd like to multiclass and aren't using the Compatibility Framework.

This mod supports the Compatibility Framework.

This mod should function normally alongside most other mods.

It does not modify vanilla files or entries in any way that would result in obvious points of conflict. If you encounter a
conflict regardless, please feel free to reach out and I will investigate. Should a patch be required, I’m happy to do so.
I’ll only patch for other mods if I have permission from the mod’s creator. If they decline or are unreachable, I won’t patch for their mod.
