Whenever an attacker makes a critical miss, the target can make an attack of opportunity against it.

All rules apply for both party, allies and enemies.

Rules:
  • If attacked in melee, the target can counterattack with a melee attack.
  • If attacked from a distance and has a ranged weapon, the target can counterattack with a ranged attack.
  • If attacked from a distance, does not have a ranged weapon, and knows an offensive cantrip, the target can counterattack with this cantrip.
  • Only the target of the critical miss can counterattack.
  • Blinded opponents cannot make attacks of opportunity.
  • Silenced opponents cannot counterattack with cantrips.
