This mod introduces a significant change to the way arrows are utilized within the game. Instead of arrows being consumable, each type of arrow now requires a specific type of ammunition. The ammunition required varies depending on the rarity of the arrow, with requirements ranging from 1, 2, 4, and 6 units.

Removed Dependency on Underwear. Added boost to AttachOfOpportunity passive instead
Hello, fellow BG3 fans! I'm excited to share with you my latest mod: Arrows Overhaul. This mod changes how you use arrows in the game. Now, arrows are not a consumable item, but requires a separate resource that you need to manage. Each type of arrow requires a different amount of ammunition, depending on its rarity. The ammunition costs are 1, 2, 4 and 6 for common, uncommon, rare and very rare arrows, respectively.
You can recover your 8 ammunition charges on a short rest. Also, arrows do not have weight anymore. This mod adds a new layer of strategy and challenge to the combat system. You need to think carefully about which arrows to use in each situation, and how to conserve your ammunition for the most critical moments. You also need to balance the benefits and drawbacks of each arrow type, such as damage, range, effects and cost.
You can safely add this mod mid game.
It's actually inspired by the mechanics in Divinity: Original Sin 2 (DOS2), and it's designed to make arrow usage more dynamic and engaging. Here's how it functions:
Arrow Abilities: In this system, arrows serve as special abilities or skills for your characters. Each type of arrow has a unique effect, such as dealing extra damage, applying status effects, or other enhancements.
Resource Management: To use these arrow abilities, characters need a resource pool, and the rarity of the arrow determines how many resources are consumed. Rare arrows are more powerful but cost more resources, so players need to strategize and manage their usage carefully.
Acquisition: You acquire these arrow abilities similarly to how you acquire skill books in DOS2. This adds a layer of choice and customization to your character development, making it more engaging.
Personalization: This system allows you to personalize your characters' combat abilities by selecting and using arrows strategically. It also eliminates the need to constantly purchase arrows, which can be tedious.
While this system may not strictly adhere to the traditional D&D rules, it's intended to enhance the gameplay experience by adding depth and strategy to ranged combat.
I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think. Happy shooting!
note: I've incorporated passive for ammunition charges into your underwear. I had to decide between integrating it with bow or underwear. If I had chosen the bow, any mods which do modifications to the bow would have rendered incompatible. Therefore, I made a compromise. Now, you can conveniently store ammunition in your underwear. Happy carrying your ammo with ease!
UPDATE: I have added support for Wearable Quiver Full Release. Now you can use instrument slot for additional Quiver charges.
