A half caster rogue subclass with some semi-unique spells.

Charisma is the spellcasting stat.

The spellslot progression is the same as Paladin/Ranger, but gets spellcasting at level 3.


Class spells

Darkness: 1st level, no concentration.
Dissonant Whispers: can Sneak Attack an appropriate target expending the SA charge, can't be used on a creature in bright light.
Shadow Step: bonus action teleport to a lightly or heavily obscured area, gain advantage on the next melee attack and a 1d6 Psychic damage bonus, +1d6 per upcast.
Crown of Madness: can be used on a non humanoid, can't be used on a creature in bright light. The condition can't be removed unless the creature is in bright light.
Shadow Claws: melee spell attack, deals 3d6 + 1d6 per upcast Necrotic damage, inflicts Feeble (no save to resist or remove) for 3 turns + 1 turn per upcast, blocks reactions for 1 turn. Can Sneak Attack an appropriate target expending the SA charge.
Silence: can be concentrated on until long rest.
Gaseous Form: only castable on self, has a ritual cost.
Hunger of Hadar: deals 3d6 Cold and 3d6 Acid damage. The Acid damage increases by 1d6 per upcast.
Summon Shadowspawn: 5eSpells required.
Shadow Of Moil: 5eSpells required.
Eyebite: 5th level.


Progression:

Level 3
  • Shadow Sight: You can see normally in darkness, both magical and non-magical, to a distance of 24m.
  • Shadow Infusion: While you are in a Heavily Obscured area and for 1 round after leaving one, your melee weapon attacks deal extra Spellcasting Modifier Psychic damage.
Level 5
  • Shadowcasting: Once per short rest, you can use a Shadowdancer spell at its base level without requiring a verbal component, and without expending a spell slot, an action, or a bonus action. Maximum spell level affected by this ability is equal to 1/4 of your Rogue level.
Level 9
  • Shadow Infusion: While you are in a Heavily Obscured area and for 1 round after leaving one, your melee weapon and spell attacks deal extra Spellcasting Modifier Psychic damage, and creatures have Disadvantage on Saving Throws against your spells.
  • Umbral Walker: Hunger of Hadar has no effect on you and Difficult Terrain doesn't slow you down.
  • Vicious Darkness: You roll your damage dice twice and use the highest result against Heavily Obscured targets. Any Cold, Acid, Poison, Necrotic and Psychic damage you deal to these targets ignores their Resistance.
Level 13
  • Shadow Infusion: While you are in a Heavily Obscured area and for 2 rounds after leaving one, your melee weapon and spell attacks deal extra Spellcasting Modifier Psychic damage, and creatures have Disadvantage on Saving Throws against your spells. You can add your Spellcasting Modifier to Constitution Saving Throws.
Level 17
  • Shadow Infusion: While you are in a Heavily Obscured area and for 2 rounds after leaving one, your melee weapon, spell and unarmed attacks deal extra Spellcasting Modifier Psychic damage, and creatures have Disadvantage on Saving Throws against your spells. You can add your Spellcasting Modifier to Constitution Saving Throws, your Movement speed can't be reduced, and you can't be Paralysed, Restrained, Stunned or knocked Prone.
