I made this mod for myself, but maybe some people can find it useful too. Playing on TV I had a hard time telling what colors were in those skinny dye bottles. Mod is a simple icon replacer.
Some original icons are straight up copy-pasted even though the final color is different (see pictures). Dye names can also be misleading, such as the 'Yellow dye' that unexpectedly adds a green to your equip. In the end, that's what motivated me to rework dye bottle icons from scratch to be more representative.
Features
- all 41 original BG3 dye icons replaced with more accurate representations of their colors after combining them with your equip - thin dye bottles replaced with wider ones, enhancing overall color visibility in the inventory (and tooltip) - completely scriptless mod that can't break your game or saves
Install without Mod Manager: 1. Copy the a1_Distinctive_Dyes.pak file to your Data folder 2. Done
Install with Mod Manager: 1. Install as usual. 2. If you have any problems, try playing with mods load order priority or just install it without Mod Manager (above)
