Dual wielding with support for extra attacks on both hands. Separate off-hand extra attacks. Convenient/smart behavior.

Overview:
In vanilla game, Extra Attacks (EA) only benefit main hand, so Dual Wielding (DW) feels lackluster.

Other mods such as Better Dual Wielding tried to adress the issue. This is a different take on the matter.

Details:
With this mod, the Dual Wield toggle will be disabled (see more at compatibility section).

Instead, you get 2 new DW attacks:







You also get two new passives along your martial EAs:

They allow you to perform separate Extra Attacks from your Off-Hand (EAOH):

The new Dual Wield attacks can consume an EA + EAOH:

Anything is interchangeable, meaning you can focus or split your damage any way you want:

The behavior is also "smart" as in, unless you open with an off-hand attack or a DW attack, the bonus action will be consumed last, meaning you can use it anytime for something else:

There's also a visual resource for off-hand extra attacks, that is used by dual attacks too.



For this to show properly, you need ImprovedUI Assets 3.15+ (when it's out)

Notes:
Beware, this is a lot stronger than vanilla. It is highly recommended you use difficulty increasing mods alongside this (even without this honestly). 

I won't try to make this more balanced, unless you have some really good and constructive idea that isn't too hard to implement. Otherwise, please refrain from asking more balancing without some serious suggestions Remember you don't have to use a mod. 


Compatibility:

Edits CombatStartAttack (unlikely to be modded), and removed dual wield flags Target_MainHandAttack and Projectile_MainHandAttack.

In case of conflict on these, you can let other mods win conflict but:
  • Without my edit to CombatStartAttack: you won't trigger off-hand extra attack on first trike from outside combat
  • Without my edit to Target_MainHandAttack and Projectile_MainHandAttack: you will have to deactivate manually the Dual Wield toggle in UI.


If you overwrite my changes to Target_MainHandAttack and Projectile_MainHandAttack, you need to NOT use the base game Dual Wield toggle:


Don't forget to set it to off for both melee and ranged weapons.


Do not use in cunjunction with Better Dual Wielding, because it uses the vanilla DW system, and this mod works around it and disables it. They do a similar job with a different approach, choose one or the other.

Other mods should be fine to use alongside this. Please report if you find out some incompatiblity.


Installation:
Use BG3MM. 

Requires BG3SE.

Requires Improved UI Assets 3.15 or more recent.

Can be installed mid-game.

/!\ Shouldn't be uninstalled mid-game.

Uninstallation:
Download and install the optionnal file with uninstaller.
Launch game normally and load your save.
Open console and use command "reset" (press enter before and after typing).
Check that everything related to the mod is gone (DW abilities/passives).
Save.
Uninstall mod.
Done.
