Witch custom homebrew class. Kind of a druid/wizard/sorcerer mix.
Has level 1-12 with some witchy spells and starting gear.
Can learn spells from scrolls.
Work in progress. Ideas & feedback welcome, please be kind.
Subclasses are based on a covenant to various types of hags from d&d 5e and gaining their respective powers.
- Night hag - focusing on nightmares, psychic damage
- Sea hag - focusing on vision-themed spells e.g. eyebite (the sea/see pun belongs to the monster manual, I didn't make this up)
- Green hag - focusing on charm and manipulation
- Annis/irontooth hag (added in 1.9.1) - focusing on corruption and command
- Bheur/frostwalker hag (added in 1.9.1) - focusing on cold damage
------------------------------
REQUIRES:
- MOD FIXER
- ImprovedUI + Improved UI assets patch
ALSO:
- use ONE version of the mod file at a time only.
- can't guarantee compatibility with mods that overwrite equipment.txt or wildshape rules.
- install .pak file via bg3mm or vortex.
Version 1.9 onward has custom icons (AI generated) with huge thanks to KiderionLykon for Baldur's Gate 3 Class Icons Generator.
HOWEVER I think the witch class icons by Dragonify (at Icons for Modded Subclasses) are better than the ones I've come up with, you can take a look and choose which you prefer (put Dragonify's mod lower down in load order if you want those ones).
------------------------------
What's different about being a Witch?
- you can learn spells from scrolls like a wizard
- you can turn into a hag with 20 str that can still cast spells but also throw stuff around
- a good all-rounder: druid cantrips such as shillelagh, and the hag shape, mean you're not completely useless in a melee
- you can fly, enabling more multi-height combat and use of different terrain levels
- find familiar as a ritual spell
- you get a cool starting outfit
- spellcasting with charisma modifier
- alchemy is encouraged by the starting equipment
in progress:
- buffing abilities for your allies
- 5 slightly chaotic subclasses
- homebrew spells will be added
