About this mod

A dyeable metal halo themed after my artificer OC, Shel.

Changelogs
I took the halo bit from the "Grymskull Helm" mesh and made it it's own thing for my OC, Shel. I've been wanting to make this mod for a little while now but just recently picked it back up now that I 1) have a better grasp on editing & exporting meshes in Blender and 2) have discovered the beautiful gift to BG3 modders that is ByteBard's BG3 Equipment Generator

Dyeable. Should fit all races/body types. Goes in the headwear slot. Spawns in the Tutorial Chest.

As of my own testing on 01/31/2024, transmog works fine with this item.Currently does not work properly with Transmog Enhanced. According to the BG3 Equipment Generator page: "Right now, there is an incompatibility with tintable items and Transmog Enhanced. For some reason, the items do not re-equip and cannot be used after transmogging. Saving and reloading fixes this and lets you equip the items. I'm trying to find a solution. Thank you for your patience."

I personally do not care about balance and just like to add whatever boosts/passives/etc. I think suit my character, but if you care about balance then there's an optional KCoA_Stats file you can use to change the stats, such as adding or removing buffs or you can change what slot the item occupies. Unzip the file & drop it into your Data folder, then edit KAYCircleOfArtifice_Armor.txt as you see fit. If you copy paste the entry to make a second version, make sure you also make a copy in the treasure table.
Here's a quick article I put together on this, mostly about changing the slot.

Installation

How To Install BG3 Mods

Download it, unzip, and install with your mod manager (I use BG3MM).

You can find the info needed for Manual Installation in the info.json file that comes with each pak.

Uninstallation

Make sure that the items are not in anyone's inventory before you uninstall; you can do this by using the Trashcan mod to delete the items, or by using a temporary item summoning spell (such as the Tutorial Chest Summoning or Pouch of Wonders, or the basket summon for Basket of Equipment), sticking the items inside the temporary container, and letting it expire.
Once the items have been removed, you can uninstall like any other mod pak.

Script Extender Console command to spawn the item in your inventory:

Circle of Artifice
TemplateAddTo("0ce43a83-b0d8-4666-be03-7cd804421dc6", GetHostCharacter(), 1)

Thanks

ByteBard for the BG3 Equipment Generator (this made the scripting part of this mod an absolute breeze!)

AnteMaxx for their Custom Backdrop and Invisible Body mods (for making the item icon; not to mention their sample mods helped me start learning to mod to begin with)

ShinyHobo for the BG3 Modder's Multitool

Norbyte for the ExportTool (aka lslib)

LaughingLeader for the BG3 Mod Manager (I *highly* recommend using this instead of the Vortex mod manager)

And the Down By The River discord server for being the fountain of information that allowed me to get into modding in the first place, as well as the support they've provided while I learn!

My mods will always remain free to use, and I do not take commissions, but any donations are appreciated! ^_^
