This my *first ever* mod, please be kind!
Any feedback/mod making tip/improvement suggestion is extremely well accepted, I want to learn more! Also if something doesn't work please let me know! I tested them pretty thoroughly, so I think everything should be fine, but you never know.



This mod was born from my idea how having a really strong and thematic smiting weapon for my Paladin of Selune character; so I started working on the Greatsword of Selûne, and midway through I thought it would be pretty darn cool to make a pair of twin greatswords for the two twin Goddesses.

These weapons are really strong in a vanilla playthrough, as they were initially thought out for a lvl20 playthrough with the enemy scaling mod, I toned them down a fair bit (yes, they used to be worse) but they are still pretty nuts, so I STRONGLY suggest not using them if you are on your first playthrough of the game.
Also because of this, to not trivialize the first two acts of the game too much, I made 4 variations of each weapons, as I quite liked the idea of the swords getting more powerful alongside you throughout the game. So you can go with that, or you can just go with the strongest version right off the bat; its your adventure, you decide!

I also tried keeping them pretty lore friendly ability wise: I wanted them to be great for roleplaying, so the Greatsword of Selûne is much more support oriented, while the Greatsword of Shar is a lot more offense oriented.
Naturally, due to this, I HIGHLY suggest using these weapons alongside the mod that allows you to pick a deity as Paladin (or any other class), as well as the mod that restores Shar as an available deity (that mod also restores a lot of great cut dialogue with Shadowheart, it's really cool).


I have had an absolute blast making these weapons, unfortunately as mentioned before, this is my very first mod, so I still don't really have a clue what I am doing most of the time (I basically just followed legend0fthefall's modding tutorial and used other mods as a frame of reference to see if I was doing everything correctly), I REALLY wanted to make the two swords slightly different appearance wise (making the Selûne sword light, and the Shar one dark) but alas, I don't know how to edit the game models just yet. But hey, maybe one day, as I plan to continue making new stuff now that I finally dipped my toes into mod making, and I am finding it really fun.

Requires: the mod fixer (or any other mod that already comes with the mod fixer).

Installation via BG3MM. As I have never used Vortex or manual installation before I have not tested the process with those, but I don't see why they sholdn't work, please let me know if I need to change something (can you tell I have no clue what I am doing LOL).

Where to find: In the tutorial chest inside the Nautiloid. "Summon tutorial chest" mod is highly recommend. Alternatively, use these UUIDs to spawn the boxes containing the weapons using CE:
