About this mod

This magical key, when carried, will unlock all sealed doors, chests Levers and Books most Magically sealed.
once the Character says 'OPEN SESAME!' aloud.
also All Traps are deactivated once the Character says "TRAP BEGONE"
Only one key is required for the party, as it is shared among party members.

The Only Key for all Locks and Traps in Faerûn

Just click on the Door, Lever or Chest  'OPEN SESAME!' and bang is unlocked.
Doors are Cages , Gates as well.

This magical key, when carried, unlocks all non-magical sealed doors, chests, Books, Barrels and Levers as soon as the user says "OPEN SESAME!" aloud. Only one key is required for the party, as it is shared among party members.
This magical key, when carried will also disarm and deactivate all kind of Traps a soon the Character says "TRAP BEGONE"

How to Get the Key:
  • At the start of any game, you will receive one key for the selected character if not allready on the Party.
  • If you loose or the key gets destroyed, on the next Loading of a Game you get the Key
  • Remember, only one key is needed.

How to Use:
  • One member of your party must carry the key in their inventory, optionally on the key-chain.
  • Simply click on any sealed door chest Book and Lever and after the magical words "OPEN SESAME" are spoken, they
  • will unlock with a Magical Effect coming from the unlocked Object
  • simply click on any Trap and after the magical words "TRAP BEGONE" are spoken, the Trap is disarmed and deactivated.

where is the Key:
  • the Key gets automatically added to the selected character on loading a Game
  • you find the Key in Inventory or in the Key-chain.

Tips:
  • Mag Hand can unlock also the Objects the Key can be on any Party member
  • if the Key is droped on the floor it will Glow so you can find it easely.
  • if you dont want to use the key drop it then the mod will have no function until picked up or loading a Save.

How to Install the Mod:
Extract DWrite.dll
  •  to the 
  • Baldurs Gate 3\bin
  •  directory (eg. 
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin

Use BG3 Mod Manager or Vortex.

How to Uninstall:
  • Just exit the game and remove the mod. ( not working always since Hotfix #17 )
  • to disable Mod permanently use Script Extender console ( 1= disable 0 = enable )
    >> Mods.AlibabaKey.PersistentVars.ModeDisabled = 1
    Save Game.
