About this mod

This mod provides a collection of overpowered armor and weapons for your entire party. It is aimed at people who have finished the game at least once and want to go through it again focusing on the story experience. These items will not make you unbeatable, but will significantly reduce the chance of failure and shorten battles to a minimum.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Basic Info

This mod provides a collection of armor and weapon sets that will grant the wearers stat boosts and multiple useful combat and non-combat abilities.
The items in this collection will not make you invulnerable or guarantee successful rolls, but they will make you extremely hard to hit in combat and will significantly increase your roll bonuses. They are by any definition overpowered.

What is in this collection?

This collection will provide 32 items - weapons and armor sets and will provide enough copies for you to equip your entire party (all recruitable party members) and still have spares. This mod does not use any custom models, only out-of-the-box in-game visuals. All spells/abilities (with one or two exceptions) provided by this mod are modified versions of existing spells/abilities, but with fewer usage restrictions.

For the sake of immersion, I have provided several armor options with different visuals (e.g. something that fits warriors/rogues, something that fits druids, sorcerers, etc.), but all armor sets share the same stats - meaning all chest pieces share the same stats, all boots share the same stats, etc.
Weapons are mostly unique in terms of spells/abilities they give, flavored to certain classes.

Please refer to the images section for stat details on each piece of equipment provided in this mod.

Who is this for?

This mod is primarily aimed at people like me, who finished the game at least once and want to just have fun with the story and character abilities without worrying about combat or skill check roll difficulty too much.

This mod can also be useful for prospective modders, as it provides examples for things such as:
  • custom toggleable passive
  • custom spell container (Wild Shape that also includes the Displacer Beast Shape as one of the options)
  • custom armor and weapons
  • custom summon ability (Create Ghoul)
  • custom statuses, passives and spells
  • custom item icons
  • custom vanity items (camp clothes, Orin's Mutilated Carapace as a camp clothes option)

How to install

Use the BG3 Mod Manager to install and activate/deactivate this mod.
Alternatively extract the .pak file manually into your %LOCALAPPDATA%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods folder and use the modding manager of your choice to activate/deactivate this mod.

How to uninstall

Use the BG3 Mod Manager, or a mod manager tool of your choice to deactivate the mod. To fully uninstall it, also remove the .pak file from your %LOCALAPPDATA%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods after deactivating the mod.

Note that while the main effect of this mod's deactivation will be that you simply lose the items provided by it, it may also make some of your saves for the campaign you were using it in unstable and unable to load.

Where to find the items

As with most equipment mods, the items can be found in the Tutorial Chest on the Nautiloid, which is located in the room just past the pod with Shadowheart (the one where you can witness a mind flayer transforming inside a pod). Inside the chest, you will find 11 (eleven) Divine Gift bags, each containing 32 items. The weight is zero, so you don't have to worry about becoming encumbered while picking them up.
