I'm back with another commissioned dice set, this time for the Drow Goddess Eilistraee for the wonderful velvetsanity, who has generously requested that I make these dice available for everyone to enjoy!
If you're playing a Seldarine Drow in BG3 and have been lacking that extra something to really immerse yourself in your character, I've got great news for you! And if you're not familiar with Eilistraee, I've got some great news for you, too, because these beautiful, hand-drawn dice are a wonderful way to dip your dancing feet into all things Eilistraean. If you're hungry for some great lore, The Dark Maiden Beckons is a great (and free!) place to read all about the Lady of Dance and her eternal battle for peace for the drow against her mother, the infamous Spider Queen, Lolth.
Velvetsanity has provided me an incredible opportunity to push the limits of BG3 dice-making and I am thrilled to share that I've added some extra little custom animations to these dice!
As the dice spin, you can see a swirl of Eilistraean magic encircle them before a flash of that magic washes over them, blessing your roll. The gems on the dice will blink with light as they come to a stop - the colour corresponding to how high you roll. With a Nat 20, a bright blue sapphire will flash as the divine symbol of Eilistraee appears - the Dark Maiden herself dancing before a full moon, her holy sword raised. If you roll a Nat 1, however, the garnets with flash blood-red and a Black Widow spider will spin its web around your dice, entrapping you in a critical failure.
Enough of me talking, let's see the dice!

Ctrl+O (or File > Import Mod) and select the .zip folder
Move the mod to the 'Active' side
Save/Export
Select the dice in-game by using the dice menu on the bottom left of your screen when making a check
Go crazy

Download the file from the "Optional Files" tab
Extract the .zip file (using your preferred tool, i.e. 7zip, WinRAR) into Steam Library\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data
Select the dice in-game by using the dice menu on the bottom left of your screen when making a check

These dice are compatible with all other dice sets and mods! Is it highly recommended to use this mod (Improved UI) with any new dice set you download and required if you have more than one dice set downloaded! If you encounter any issues, download or update ImprovedUI first.
As of the 5th of September, 2024, modding is now officially supported in BG3. You can find all of my mods and many others through the integrated mod manager within your game.
Please do not edit or repost my files for any reason, this template took me a very long time to make by hand. If you experience any issues with these dice, please drop a comment or DM me instead!
