Welcome to my world of bird folk, introducing my first labor of love; Owlins! You already love the cuddly Owlbears that grew up around Faerun, so what if you could just be one all the time! That or just live the fantasy of being a big bird person, which… same.

Note: If you want to update a current characters look, for some reason only the Forest Owlin Male will let you in the mirror after clicking the randomizer first. Any other character would need to use the Appearance Edit Enhanced Mod by Eralyne and do a Resculpt. I am looking into this bug for a 1.3.x update, but I have not found anything suspicious yet.

Older Note: First off, thank you everyone for the thousand downloads so far! I am very grateful to see so many Owlin take flight! However, I messed up and realized that I didn't even update the Race UUID from the template before posting! Therefore if I were to update all the UUID's at once to be unique, I would corrupt anyone's current gameplay. To prevent this, I am going to maintain 2 versions of Owlins from 1.1 onward! They will be denoted by X.X.0 and X.X.1. See below for what mod update track is for you:

X.X.1 (aka 1.2.1):
New downloaders

The Owlin Race currently grants these traits:
Superior Darkvision - those big ol eyes are very good in the dark after all.
Fly - These wings were made for flapping, and that’s just what they’ll do!
Stealth Proficiency - Owls are the definition of silent but deadly, therefore so would their folk

Character Customization:
Feather Type - Eagle Owlin or Snowy Owlin (aka - the two owlbear colors)
Eye Color - Fully Customizable
Wing Color - Eagle Owlin or Snowy Owlin, 2 variations of each
Talon Color and Shape - Fully Customizable from OG Dragonborn colors.
Tail - None, Eagle Owlin, or Snowy Owlin

NOTE: This mod will add Dragonborn colors to the available options for your other humanoid races. Unfortunately since these colors directly reference Dragonborn materials, they will not work on humanoids even though they will tempt you for eternity.

BIG Shoutout to Trips for their Custom Race Template that made setup for this mod super easy on the coding side and DarthRen for the closed wings in cutscenes animations! Also thank you to perseidipity for their CC Icon Template that helped me set up 1.2 easily and WuffyCeruli for their collaboration with the Digitigrade feet options from their Dragonborn Mod!

WIP - Update Plans:
- Better Body Model: get a new body texture so the transition from skin to “feathers” looks more natural for those who want a scantily clad Owlin
- Pygmy Owlins: What if you want to be smol bird? Why not!
- Customizable Feathers: Wanna be an obnoxious Pink and Purple feathered Owlin? You should totally be able to do that!
- Cleaner Facial Animation and Feather Textures: It's up in the air on the anims, but I do want to fix the feather rendering to be more crisp!
