About this mod
Inland Sea without the sea. Use old world age to get an approximation of Civ5's great plains map.
- Permissions and credits
It makes the map be pretty much one rectangular piece of land, with a few lakes but no real ocean. Essentially, if you set the world age to old, you get a debatable approximation of the Great Plains map from Civ 5. Which is really what I wanted.
The obvious caveats apply. You won't do much coastal raiding as Norway on this map, for example.
On the bright side, hey, more space to build cities.
On the up or down side, depending on how you look at it, nobody is really isolated on this map. Mountains may form SOME choke points, but that's about it. I hear this is a desirable thing in MP, though I only play single player myself.
HOW TO GET IT
Start a new game, choose the Inland map from the dropdown.
HOW TO INSTALL IT
Open the downloaded .zip file, drag the InlandMap folder into the Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization VI/Mods folder.
It will auto-activate itself when you start the game, but doesn't do anything unless you actually start a new game with this map.
HOW TO UNINSTALL IT
Delete the InlandMap folder from your Mods folder.
