This datapack for CyberScript add all Hidden Gems locations on the map.
----- COMMUNITY CONTENT UPDATE I'm reading some of you wanting me to add extra things like hidden events, easter eggs, iconic weapons locations, cars locations, etc... We could share those locations together in a spreadsheet, and i can add them in the mod as a community content. If you want to participate, i've created a spreadsheet where you can add them : Click here ! -----
Hidden Gems ? For the most part that's hidden locations with dead bodies or stash where you can find loot, legendary items, skill shards and/or shards to read with some lore about the game. Some of them are quest related and lead to know what happened to some NPC depending of the choices you have made. These do not show up on the map and do not involve any sort of mission. For more informations, go here.
Installation : - Install the mod (Don't use Vortex to install this mod. It seems that Vortex don't install some files.) - Load your save file - Press Escape, In the game menu, go to "Mods" > "Cyberscript Mods Manager" > Activate "Hidden Gems Locations On Map" - Go back to game - Refresh the mod (See below)
Uninstallation : Delete the folder : bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods\cyberscript\datapack\HiddenGems
How it works : Only gems you haven't found yet are shown on the map. Once you grab one, it disappear from the map. It can take up to 30 seconds for a map pin to disappear after finding it.
Refresh the Mod (Use only at mod installation or in case of bug) : Hidden Gems map pins are unlocked after doing Fixer's Gigs. For now, i can't auto-refresh the map when you unlock a new Gigs Tier. If you see an in-game notification telling you a Fixer sent you new gigs, you must refresh the mod like this : - Press CyberScript Interact Key (F1 by default) - Select "Select active Interactions Group" and press Enter - Select "Hidden Gems Locations On Map" and press Enter - Press CyberScript Interact Key (F1 by default) - Select "Refresh the Mod" and press Enter
Reset the Mod : Some Hidden Gems are not tied to an item/shard i can track to know if you had found it or not. So i'm using another way to know it. If you found some of those "particular" hiddenn gems, and you start a new playthrough or load an old save, those hiddens gems will not show up on your map. To avoid this, you need to "reset" the mod, like this : - Press CyberScript Interact Key (F1 by default) - Select "Select active Interactions Group" and press Enter - Select "Hidden Gems Locations On Map" and press Enter - Press CyberScript Interact Key (F1 by default) - Select "Reset the Mod (for new playthrough only !)" and press Enter - Reload your save
Important : Some Hidden Gems require certain story missions, side gigs, NCPD scanner hustles, and/or time to pass before they spawn. So you may be not able to find all the gem's related packages.
Thanks : A big thank you to donk74 for his help creating the code, his kindness and for updating CyberScript to allow this datapack to exist. A big thank you to dedicated247 for his help with code and explainations. I've used locations from the mod "Missing Persons - Fixer's Hidden Gems". Thanks to Darkcopse for this awesome mod.
