About this mod
When low on ammo, the game generates ammunition on downed enemies and automatically loots them when the player gets close enough. This mod disables that mechanic, ammo is no longer generated.

When the player is low on ammunition, the game generates additional ammo on downed enemies and automatically loots it when getting close enough.
This mod disables that functionality, ammo is no longer generated on downed enemies.
The motivation behind making this mod was that I got annoyed by random pickup sounds when taking down or walking over enemies. After I had discovered the cause (picking up ammo) I first started by disabling the sound. While this worked, it meant that ammo pickups from ammo boxes were also muted.
I then decided to just disable the mechanic as a whole since I tend to sell ammo that I don't need and constantly generating ammo out of nothing didn't feel right.
It also encourages crafting of ammo when you're in a pinch instead of just walking over the next corpse.
Requirements
TweakXL - required to load the mod.
RED4Ext - required for TweakXL.
Installation
Install with a mod manager like Vortex or MO2.
Compatibility and Alternatives
Should be compatible with anything that doesn't directly change the same mechanic.
Reduced Loot - If you're using that mod, you don't need mine. Set Handicap drop count sliders to 0 to get the same functionality.
