About this mod

Allows replacing (and destroying) currently equipped weapon mods, but not unequipping them. The way it worked before patch 2.0.

A simple mod that brings back the pre-2.0 functionality where you could install new weapon mods on top of existing ones, losing the old ones. I find the new rules too restrictive. A weapon can be ruined by having a low quality mod pre-installed on it, or just a mod that isn't useful for your play-style.

There is already a mod that lets you unequip weapon mods, Unequip Mods, which effectively allows you to replace weapon mods while keeping the old ones, but I found that this solution ruins the weapon mod economy. You will very quickly have several high-level versions of each weapon mod you like, and will be able to just swap them into any new weapon you want to use. So no more reason to loot, craft, or buy them.

Compatibility:
Not compatible with Unequip Mods. I'm not aware of any other conflicts.

Installation:
  • IMPORTANT: This mod has dependencies (see requirements section above!)
  • To install this mod, extract the zip file into the Cyberpunk 2077 installation folder.
