About this mod

Hold a keybind, look around, then release keybind to teleport to the position you were looking at... Now with controller support... Functions very similarly to the "Blink" ability from the game "Dishonored"...

What does this mod do?
  • Uses a (single) customizable keybind, which you need to set up in CET's "Bindings" menu (found in CET overlay).
  • While in-game, press and hold the keybind. A marker will flash on the position you are looking at. Release the keybind to instantly teleport to that position. This uses CET's 'Input' functionality instead of a 'Hotkey', which allows you to use the keybind while pressing other keys (so you can use while walking/sprinting/etc), as well as allows the hold/release functionality.
  • The marker flash speed can be adjusted in the mod's CET overlay window. This works somewhat backward, as it is a count of how many frames need to display between showing/hiding the marker. Higher values will result in slower flashes, lower values will be faster. Note that this will not count fake frames from FSR/DLSS Frame Generation technologies, and will instead use your base framerate.
  • You can also set whether or not you want to allow teleporting while inside of a vehicle (this will also teleport the vehicle if enabled).
  • There are also optional audio and visual alerts for teleporting.
  • Lastly, you can set it to only allow teleporting while a marker is visible. This should only be used with higher marker flash speed values (slower flash speeds), as it will be really hard to time it correctly with faster flashing.
  • As of v1.1, has selectable alternate marker icons (change in the CET overlay menu)
  • As of v1.2, now supports controller input (optional, with toggle in CET overlay menu). Aim, then press and release the reload button while aiming to teleport. You can cancel out of the teleport by releasing the left trigger before releasing the X button (assuming Xbox controller, buttons will be different with other controllers). I plan to change this control scheme at some point, and am open to suggestions for a good button combination (one button to trigger the marker when held down, then another button to teleport, preferably)...
  • As of v1.3, now has more options for controller button configs (change layout in the CET overlay menu)
  • As of v1.3, now has an optional visual effect and short period of slowed-down time after teleporting

Installation
  • Extract to main CP77 install folder or install with Vortex
  • Make sure to also get the required mod (CET) if you do not already have it

Uninstallation:
  • Delete the "CyberBlink-PointToPointTeleportKeybind" folder from your [CP77>bin>x64>plugins>CET>mods] folder

Compatibility:
  • While technically not incompatible, it could have some issues if used alongside other point-to-point teleport mods, such as CyberJump by u/GvizStudio
  • No known incompatibilities

To-do list (at some point in the future, maybe):

  • Incorporate some kind of limitation on the ability so you can't just repeatedly spam it without consequence (this will be optional)
  • Make it so you can only teleport as far as you can see a marker to avoid issues that arise from teleporting long distances (again, optionally)
  • Selectable icons for the marker (no custom icons, just other ones already in the game)  Added in v1.1
  • Add support for multiple languages in the menu (unless people beat me to it by releasing translations)
  • Controller support, if possible (really not sure if this is possible using only CET, and I'd rather not require any other mods so this may never happen if it's not possible) This has been added in v1.2

Known Issues (v1.1):
  • Very minor issue... Sometimes the position gets saved longer than it should, even though the marker goes invisible. In these instances, you are able to repeatedly keep teleporting to the saved position with a single tap of the keybind. This doesn't really break anything, and holding the keybind will update the position to your new look-at point, so I'm not going to fix this (unless it happens by accident somehow while updating for other things)...
  • No other known issues
