About this mod

A mod that changes the usual red/blue shield to a black shield with or without a purple dragon.

Requirements
Permissions and credits

This mod requires:
DSfix 1.9 or a newer version
Dark Souls(duh!)
Common knowledge on how to use a computer

This texture mod basically transforms the boring old Knight Shield into a black version, with a purple dragon on the front
This also changes the Knight Shield's icon in your inventory/hand. You can also find a different no-dragon shield in the
"Alternate No-Dragon Texture" folder.

!WARNING: This mod removes the shadows from the items in your inventory, I don't currently know how to fix it, really,
but I am looking for a way to fix it.
!WARNING: If you already have a mod that changes the Knight Shield/Inventory items (shield, weapons, talismans and catalysts)
textures, this mod will override that mod. The two mods will not work together

~~Instructions~~

###Put the two textures from the "Texture" folder into your Dark Souls directory, in the DSfix's texture override folder

###If you wish to install the no-dragon knight shield, copy the textures from the "Alternate No-Dragon Texture" folder
into your tex_override folder, following the same instructions for installation and uninstallation.

~~For example, If I have the game installed in D:Dark Souls
I will put the textures in D:Dark Soulsdsfixtex_override

!Be sure to have texture override enabled in your DSfix

!-- If you have installed DSix, you can find it in your Dark Souls folder. It is called DSfix.ini--!

To enable texture override, look for the line called:

###############################################################################
# Texture Override Options
###############################################################################

#There, you will find these lines:

# enables texture dumping
# you *only* need this if you want to create your own override textures
# textures will be dumped to "dsfixtex_override[hash].tga"
enableTextureDumping 0

# enables texture override
# textures in "dsfixtex_override[hash].png" will replace the corresponding originals
# will cause a small slowdown during texture loading!
enableTextureOverride 0

#To enable texture override, change the 0 next to the enableTextureOverride to a 1
It should now look like this:

# enables texture dumping
# you *only* need this if you want to create your own override textures
# textures will be dumped to "dsfixtex_override[hash].tga"
enableTextureDumping 0

# enables texture override
# textures in "dsfixtex_override[hash].png" will replace the corresponding originals
# will cause a small slowdown during texture loading!
enableTextureOverride 1

#If you have copied the textures to the right place, your game should now display them as it is supposed to. Have fun!

~-~Unistallation~-~

###If the mod is causing you any troubles, you want to install another Knight Shield mod, or you simply don't want it anymore,
all you have to do to uninstall it is:

1.Go to your tex_override folder in the DSfix folder in Dark Souls
2.Delete the texture files 4b6febea and 60a2c243 (these textures are the only ones affiliated with the mod,
as such, they are the only ones you should delete if you want to get rid of This mod.)
3.Done!
