About this mod

This mod removes the restriction of using Healing Aura in order to use the skills Group Heal and Revive. In addition, it also removes the Healing Aura skill, so that there is no need to spend points on it first. UPDATE: Added optional version with faster but less powerful healing spells

This mod removes the Healing Aura skill from the Spirit Healer tree, and removes the restriction placed upon Group Heal and Revive, so that you can use them withou having Healing Aura active.

The modified spells are updated to the latest PC patch (1.04).

This mod was created because i never liked the Healing Aura skill, and no matter how many changes i made i could not find a way to modify it so that i would find the spell worth to use. Also notice that the tactics are bugged and allow you to use both skills without having Healing Aura active (as well as Martyr without Vengeance active), so it becomes a moot point to force the player when using manual control to be restricted.

Therefore i decided to remove the ability altogether from the skilltree. The result is a flexible healer that can do damage or healing depending on the situation.

If you want to use this mod with Anders, use a mod that gives him the Spirit Healer tree.

In addittion to the main mod changes, this version also modifies the Heal (Creation tree) and Group Heal (Spirit Healer) spells

Heal
Mana: 30
Healing: 25% / Upgrade: 15%
Cooldown: 20s

These changes consist reducing by 1/2 the amount healed (from 80% to 40%), while also reducing the cooldown by the same amount (from 40s to 20s). The purpose is to make healing more interactive instead of a one big shot thing, so you have to use + healing items if you want to improve the healing you make.

Group Heal
Mana: 60
Healing: 25% / Upgrade: 15%
Cooldown: 40s

The changes made are an increase in mana cost (from 50 to 60) to match other big spells (ex. Firestorm), and a reduction in cooldown (from 50s to 40s), for similar reasons as the other heal spell.

You will notice that i tried to make the two spells balanced with each other, with Group Heal having double the cooldown of the basic Heal, both healing the same amount (but Group Heal to more people), and the mana cost being also proportional. The real limit to casting these spells should now be the mana spent, and not an arbitrary long cooldown. I feel these changes make healing more accesible and fun, instead of being restricted to one deal powerful spells with long cooldowns.
