Enderal is incredible and I've been playing it on and off for a while now. I kept coming back hoping someone had made 3D lods for the trees and well, it never happened, so here we are. I decided to take matters into my own hands and make some Ultra tree lods. The difference is immense, long gone are those crappy badly lit billboards, instead you now have properly lit full 3D lods.
Limitations:
There are over 400 base TREEs in Enderal, and making Ultralods for every single one is pointless, plus it would wreck FPS. Instead, I have picked off the worst offenders and managed to cover most of the worst looking tree lods. However, there maybe some other areas that could do with Ultralods which I've missed, and if you see some that think could benefit from having Ultralods, get me the base name of the tree and I'll get to it in an update. The other issue is shader flags/tangents in some ultralods need tweaked, so if you notice a flicker of light as they load in, I'm working on it!
Performance:
Considering this mod adds a lot of polys to the game world, performance is still fine and I didn't really notice much of a hit. Potatoes might hit different though. There are other options to further optimize these and if anyone wants to take a crack at it (decimation/convert full trunks to billboard DynDOLOD atlas) , you could further reduce the hit by approx 50% or more.
Installation Overview:
Download the requirements, set up the environment, run the patchers, copy output to game folder, done

Setting up DynDOLOD for Enderal is similar to Skyrim.
First, download DynDOLOD 3 SE and DynDOLOD 3 SE Resources.
Set them up so DynDOLOD Resources goes in the game folder as usual.
The DynDOLOD tools goes in your Tools folder (Mine is on a seperate drive so its H:/Tools Enderal/DynDOLOD). Then open up MO2/add executable/navigate to DynDOLOD tools folder and add Texgenx64 and DynDOLODx64 as new executables.
Run Texgen, copy the output to your game folder as a new mod. Enable it.
Run DynDOLOD, select Advanced/Select all worldspaces/Select Medium/Double click on tree rule at bottom
Set up tree rule as Level0/Billboard6/Billboard2/VWD Tree/Far LOD.
Hit OK, wait for DynDOLOD to finish, copy DynDOLOD Output to game folder as new mod, enable it.
Done!
UNINSTALL:
Disable this mod
Rerun DynDOLOD
