Add a bold new taste to your Commonwealth. Enjoy 9 exclusive drinks designed and created by Dr. Quench herself. In addition, listen to 60+ new songs and ads from various Pre-War artists including the voice of Dr. Quench.

As described above, this mod is adds two major components: a new Fallout lore-friendly radio station and a series new wasteland sodas under the Dr. Quench brand. The radio station features 60+ soundtracks, commercials and additional voice work by Dr. Quench. The sodas currently features 9 different flavors with crafting recipes. They've been added to leveled lists so you'll be able to come across them during your travels as well.

How to Acquire

Currently, there aren't any special custom vendors or quests to obtain the drinks. Once you load the game, simply wait a few days for inventories to reset and you should start seeing the drinks circulated throughout vendors who sell "aid" and "misc" items. The sodas are added directly to Trudy at Drumlin Diner. However, she does not actively sell all higher-end flavors.

Speaking of "high-end," all recipes will be available to you once the game is started. You can buy basic flavors of Dr. Quench with exclusive ones being required to be crafted at a chemistry station. Plans for more flavors and drinks will likely be added later on but, will require you to find the recipes, much like in the Nuka-Word DLC.

As for Quench Radio, it will be available upon loading the game. It's a completely new radio station and does not override any existing ones. If you happen to hear multiple songs playing at once, it is likely you have two custom radio stations using the same channel. At that point, you'll need to either contact myself or the mod author for the conflicting radio and see about adjusting the station. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do this for anyone familiar with the Creation Kit even to a small degree. Check the POSTS section of this mod page and see the steps for editing the radio to avoid conflicting stations.

A Taste of the Local Flavor

Each beverage has unique effects to help you in your travels. All of them will provide caffeine as well as add additional caps upon consumption.

Compatibility

While most of the mod is non-intrusive, however, it does affect several Leveled List in order to distribute a few flavor of drinks across the Commonwealth. The affected Leveled Lists are listed below.

  • LLI_Vendor_Drink_NonAlcohol_Basic
  • LLI_Vendor_Drink_NonAlcohol_Rare
  • LLI_Vendor_Drink_NonAlcohol_Unique
  • LLI_Vendor_Drink_Alcohol_Rare
  • LLI_Vendor_Drink_Alcohol_Basic
  • VL_Vendor_General_Drumlin

With that said, you shouldn't have any conflicts with mods that affect roughly the same area, but if you do, a quick merged patch should fix it up. Otherwise, you can load this mod before the conflicting one and simply acquire the drinks through crafting them in the Chemistry Lab.

Planned Updates

  • The mod is technically done in its current; however, after reviewing the content I've decide to outline an update for a later time pending the mod's popularity. The update is called "Dr. Quench: Adverse Effects" which would see a small chance for the drinks to backfire, have negative consequences or even a chance at some type of unique addiction circumstances. New songs would be implemented as well. No publish date for this is currently scheduled; that, of course, is subject to change.
  • Xbox One Release

A Few Popular Tracks

Quench Radio is the official Dr. Quench sponsored radio station of the Commonwealth. Tune in to experience a Fallout-Friendly radio station filled with pre-war recordings of popular songs, Vault-Tec commercials and the radio DJ, Dr. Quench herself. There is in total over 75 audio files between meticulously compiled music records, commercials and Quench advertisements. Some tracks you can expect can be found below.

  • 'Beyond the Sea'
  • 'Baby Love'
  • 'The Great Pretender'
  • 'Queen of the Hops'
  • 'Puttin' on theRitz'
  • 'Runaround Sue'
  • 'Return to Sender'
  • 'Jailhouse Rock'
  • 'After You've Gone'
  • 'Ain't That a Kick in the Head'
  • 'I Wish you Love'
  • 'Swinging From a Star'

This and so much more can be found on Quench Radio including tracks scavenged from the Mojave Wasteland and a few from the Capitol Wasteland. Don't worry though, most of the tracks are yet to be heard in any part of the wastes so do not expect a simple "previous Fallout soundtracks compilation."

A huge thank you to, of course, Bethesda and their team for another stellar Fallout experience in addition to releasing mod tools that allow us to do what we do as a community. Also, a big "thank you" to the Nexus itself for hosting such a large community-driven platform to let our creativity shine.

Lastly, but surely not least, a huge thank you to my lovely and talented voice actor, Niomi Young. She also happens to be an avid GMV & AMV editor who just kicked off her YouTube channel. So, please, click here and give her videos a watch or just a quick thumbs up; leave a comment letting her know where you came from and show her some support. Thank you!

-- Final Word --

Models and most base textures are property of Bethesda; custom labels and materials are mine. Although they are free, I would ask that you seek permission before altering and using them for your own mod if you intend to distribute in any capacity. Please, do not upload anywhere else especially without my sole permission. Thanks!
