About this mod
I've made adjustments to the spread and recoil of all weapons while still keeping the game balanced (E.G; rifle stocks are still worth it).
Intended for FO4VR, obviously ruins balance of regular Fallout 4.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
For a timestamped tutorial on how to change that and more (recoil, VATS, spread), watch this video:
I highly recommend pairing this mod with the INI tweak shown at 02:11 in the video.
These are the spread changes made to Aim Models (DLC models in fancy text):
-100%:
- Gauss Rifle
- Hunting Rifle
- Laser Musket
- Pipe Bolt-Action
- Flare Gun
- Gamma Gun
- Assaultron Head
- Harpoon Gun
- Lever-action Rifle
-75%:
- Pipe Revolver
- Missile Launcher
- Fat Man
- Broadsider
- Junk Jet
- Railway Rifle
-50%:
- Pipe Weapons,
- 10mm Pistol
- 44. Pistol
- Alien Blaster
- Assault Rifle
- Combat Rifle
- Deliverer
- Gatling Laser
- Minigun
- Institute Laser
- Laser Gun
- Plasma Gun
- Submachine Gun
- Radium Rifle
Combat and Double Barrel shotguns have had spread reduced by 25% and 20% respectively. Feels nice when it's a bit tighter.I have also removed recoil from all Automatic heavy weapons because that's bogus. Tesla Rifle too, doesn't feel right with recoil.
FAQ:
Does this affect NPCs?
I don't think this affects NPCs. This changes the Iron Sights mult part of the Aim Model. I gave a level 1 raider a pinpoint accuracy Pipe Pistol and stood about 5 feet away, they hit 1 out of 10 shots so either they had cerebral palsy or this doesn't buff NPCs.
Can you make a version without any spread?
If you want 0 spread on ALL of your guns and you play on VR, watch the video above. If you're not on VR, I might make a version for that if a few people ask. For now, check out More Accurate Weapons. It doesn't change DLC weapons, heavy guns or shotguns though.
Why doesn't this affect [enter weapon here]?
Some weapons use the Aim Model of other existing weapons. For example: Nuka World's Acid Soaker pistol uses the same aim model as the Deliverer. Unless I messed up and Bethesda actually uses the aim model of a Securitron's machine gun arm for some random weapon, then this does affect every weapon.
Conflicts:
Obviously conflicts with any mod that changes the Aim Models of any weapons, such as More Accurate Weapons and Accurate Hipfire. If you watch my video on how to modify weapon behaviour in the INI settings, you don't need these mods.
Known Issues:
None so far. Hooray!
I am confused on why there's an aim model for a Grenade Launcher though...
