Murkwater Depot is not a Republic outpost, in the traditional sense, but rather a work site for the processing of scavenged scrap, quarried stone and lumber into usable materials. There is a small bar for workers to unwind at after their shift, and an on-site medical officer in case of any work-related injuries. Local crops are grown in the fertile swamp soil, while water purifiers convert it into drinking water. Lumber from dead trees, stone quarried from Thicket Excavations, Dunwich Borers, and the nearby Quincy Quarries, along with the ruins of brick structures from Old Boston, and lastly, any large metal scrap such as cars and trucks are sent here from Oberland Central Station to be processed into concrete, wood and steel.
