I love Resident Evil. I really do. And one of the things I've love the most in them is the intimate, outstanding and visceral feeling of the games animations. The steps, the weight on the character movement and all the work involved is mesmerizing. onymaru9 captured this feeling greatly on the second iteration of his animation mod (Better 3rd Person Animations). One of the optional files provided us with the animations you can see on the gifs below: a close to the shoulder idle animation of the player character holding their handgun. This mods does a simple thing: It gets the newer handgun animations from his Much Better 3rd Person Animations Tactics and add the Leon S. Kennedy vibes back to it.





My recomendation would be to install the mod via your favorite mod manager [NMM, Vortex, MO2] but if you do prefer to install manually, the instalation is easy.

• Download the mod
• Extract the folder
• Copy the Data folder
• Place it on your main game folder [where Fallout.exe is]
• If requested, allow the mod files to overwrite existing ones [remember to backup the files being overwriten]
• If installing after onymaru9 packs, install it last and overwrite the animations if requested. This will NOT touch the rifle animations, only pistols

Q: Could you/are in the plans to port x,y,z animations to this/other game?
A:  While I do plan to learn more stuff, currently the mod is what it is. I do plan to learn how to proper animate and have some ideas related to the The Juger Pistols but first I need to learn how to proper animate, edit and convert animations to the game. With that said, wait sometime. I've just started moding so consider me as a noob/beginner on everything related to it. I was just a "consumer" of mods just like some of you for years. These are my first steps

Yes, I known. It is intended and I like it the way it is. I currently use Button Lowered Weapons - First and Third Person to holster/enter idle animation faster. It allows me to stand on like Leon/Chris on RE faster and whenever I want. I known it is not perfect, but this is my first upload related to animations and I do intend to learn how to proper animate, but I'm currently unable to give any ETA related to updates due to my IRL workload. This is my first project in a while after my first one related to Creation Clube edits, so sorry for any unintended issues.

• There is already a mod that does this or xyz mod adds better animations
  

I known, and sorry if this mod doesn't attend your needs. If you feel like it, please feel free to get any other mod or this one or even mashup your own creation! Whatever floats your boat and gives you a better gaming experience is the right choice. I've uploaded this with the permission of the original mod creator because I've felt this could appeal to other players like me. This is kind of the spirit of sharing a mod, isn't it?
