This mod reworks Animal Friend, Wasteland Whisperer and Intimidation perks within the Hot Diggity perk overhaul. Charisma is no longer required to take the perks, but does improve your success rate. Also addresses some vanilla bugs and incorporates perks like Cherchez La Femme and Confirmed Bachelor.

What does this do?

The core of this mod is a rework of the script responsible for pacifying targets using various Charisma perks.  In addition to addressing a few bugs, this works to integrate the vanilla pacification system into the Hot Diggity perk overhaul, adding support for some of its perks and taking advantage of the flexibility afforded by LevelUpMenuEx.  What this doesn't do is add more options to the hold up gimmick.  There are no added pacifist options, conversations or immersion concessions.  It sticks to the core game's notion that pacification is simply a series of combat options granting crowd control effects to Charisma builds.

Perk Changes

Animal Friend / Wasteland Whisperer / Intimidation

These pacification perks no longer require Charisma to take, though Hot Diggity does still puts level requirements on all three ranks.  In exchange, they start with a much lower success chance of 20% (down from 40%).  The success chance is then increased +3% per point of Charisma.  A Charisma of 7 is enough to be on par with the vanilla success rate.  Success caps at 95%, which is achieved at 25 Charisma.  With the other perks below, you can reach it with as little as 20 Charisma.

Black Widow / Cherchez La Femme / Confirmed Bachelor / Lady Killer

The multiple scripting mistakes in the base game that prevented Black Widow and Lady Killer from improving your Intimidation attempts have been corrected and expanded here.  All three ranks now grant a cumulative +5% Intimidation chance (formerly only ranks 2 and 3 would have).  Cherchez La Femme and Confirmed Bachelor from New Vegas are re-added to the game by Hot Diggity, and this mod incorporates those to supply them Intimidation bonuses as well.

Hunter / Big Game Hunter

These are two more perks added by Hot Diggity.  Hunter grants various bonuses versus animals, while Big Game Hunter is a late-game perk that extends Hunter's bonuses to include all wasteland creatures.  I've further added a cumulative +5% success chance bonus to each rank of Hunter when using the Animal Friend perk, effectively making it the Black Widow equivalent for animals.  Players with the Big Game Hunter perk will also get these bonuses when using Wasteland Whisperer.

Other Minor Changes

Pacify now works on targets your level, not just ones below you.  This is just a compatibility thing.  A few balance mods out there work by setting all enemies to match your level.  Without being able to pacify equal-level enemies, those overhauls break pacify outright.

Putting your weapon away, walking away or turning the enemy hostile with a scripted trigger will no longer put Pacify on cooldown.  Directly assaulting, pickpocketing or failing to pacify a target will still impose the usual lengthy cooldown.  I wanted the cooldown to be the consequence of a failed roll or deliberate tactical choice.  I left the other events in to keep things feeling vanilla and their intended token nod to immersion, but they didn't feel like appropriate reasons to stall continued use of the player's ability.

Compatibility

This is not compatible with other mods which change the same perks or pacification effects.  I won't be making compatibility patches or ports, but have included my script source in the BA2 if someone else wants to expand, patch, port or borrow to their heart's content.  While re-upload permissions on this mod are limited, that is out of respect for Hot Diggity's permissions.  Consider the script source to be an exception that's as open as a modified vanilla game asset is allowed to be.
