WARNING: THIS MOD HAS BUGS. IT IS OLD, AND WILL LIKELY NOT BE UPDATED. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I've unhidden the mod due to some requests to do so, but I just don't have the time to fix it for anyone who isn't already used to what it was when I first created it. I have never used it with DLC as it was made before the DLC came out, I have no idea if it works with DLC or not. If you're not using other old mods that depend on this one, please consider using Orphans of the Commonwealth instead as it is far more up to date! The rest of this page has not been edited since 2015.
Found a minor bug: If one of your children gets stuck with an adult-sized scale, just change their clothes a few times (using the kid's clothes), this will fix it. This bug is due to beds (and other objects) modifying actor scale, and I'm trying to decide if I want to update with non-scaled beds (and other objects) or not, considering a lot of people use beds and stuff added by other mods.
Version 1.12 - If you would like to spawn a random child npc, check your load order for the first two digits and type "player.placeatme xx00080a" * Example: In my case (screenshot) the load order is 18 so I would open the console and type "player.placeatme 1800080a", without quotes These children need to be moved to a settlement after you spawn them, they wont automatically add to the nearest settlement as if they got recruited by a beacon. You also need to spawn them one at a time if you do this, for some reason if you try to spawn multiple they're all the same template. No idea why. - THIS DOES NOT CHANGE VANILLA CHILDREN (yet) - Total of 20 kids have been added to vanilla. Eighteen human (9 male 9 female), and two ghoul (one of each) - The spawning ratio from the recruitment beacon is approximately 6 adults:1 child - Kids spawn in a random outfit (girls and boys have their own sets for spawning) - You can buy new clothing for them at workshop clothing vendors or at Fallons, and have them wear whatever you want them to (ONLY Kid's clothing works) - They will work as vendors but the pathing on it is bugged, so make them move there first. - The only thing they do perfectly is farming (because it's in vanilla) - They run away when attacked, even if they have a weapon - You CAN trade with them - You CAN kill them if you have the killable children mod
