About this mod
West Tek Tactical Optics Patch to add MCM settings: Default-to-off, Night/Thermal Vision Levels, Hotkeys
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
This started as a small patch to West Tek Tactical Optics to prevent the immersion break of vision turning on every time I equipped the goggle and when entering/exiting. It's ballooned since the release of the Creation Kit on Steam* since I'm finally unshackled in what I can do.
I've tried to account for every setting and option I can. It's still limited by the options present in West Tek Tactical Optics, but hopefully it gives you some more freedom.
MCM Settings:
- Default vision state when equipping and/or entering/exiting power armor (Default: Off)
- Night Vision Level(Default: Night Vision 1X)
- Thermal Vision Level (Default: Thermal Vision 1X)
Hotkeys:
- Cycle through vision modes
- Reverse cycle through vision modes
- Clear vision mode and reset sequence
- Toggle Night Vision
- Toggle Thermal Vision
- Toggle Targeting HUD
Usage
How these settings effect each vision mod:
- Multi-vision Standard: MCM Night/Thermal Vision Level settings always apply.
- Multi-vision Night/Thermal: MCM Night/Thermal Vision Level settings always apply.
- Multi-vision All: Cycle hotkey(s) will cycle through all vision modes. Individual toggle keys will apply MCM Night/Thermal Vision Level setting.
- Night Vision: MCM Night Vision Level settings always apply.
- Night Vision 2X: 2X when using cycle hotkey(s), MCM Night Vision Level when using toggle hotkey
- Night Vision 3X: 3X when using cycle hotkey(s), MCM Night Vision Level when using toggle hotkey
- Thermal Vision: MCM Thermal Vision Level settings always apply.
- Thermal Vision 2X: 2X when using cycle hotkey(s), MCM Thermal Vision Level when using toggle hotkey.
- Targeting HUD: No changes.
NOTE: A reminder that the toggle is a beta feature of West Tek Tactical Optics and can break. I haven't experienced this myself and don't know enough about why it occurs to fix it myself. If the toggle breaks uninstall this mod and you will regain the default functionality.
