Various replacers exist on the Nexus but many do so by model swapping. This can cause many issues (some of which I encountered).
My replacer(s) work much more simply by changing the level lists, allowing for easy conflict resolution through changing load order to ensure this mod over writes and mod which changes LLs.
This mod should hopefully demonstrate the huge advantage this approach has, yes, multiple weapons replacing one weapon.
Replaces the combat rifle with the
AK5C, the
Service rifle,
Hax's AUG,
VHS2, the
SG550 and the
SA80.
I think they all fit, the SA80 (or at least the LMG variant), AUG and Service rifle are in previous games.
The AK5C makes sense imho as the FNC was a later competitor to the M16, it failed but it was cheaper to make so, perhaps, with resources becoming more scare it would make more sense.
The Sig550 probably fits the least, and if I am being honest I couldn't think of another mod to use other than the GALIL (which will be in the handmade rifle LL mod).
Ensure that you endorse the original mods to show support for their work.
Yes you need all of them for this to work, thats just how it is.
I also recommend
this mod to make the AK5C less over the top, my "light and lore" optional mod assumes you have this as it does not remove the weapon mods this mods used. Also the
9mm pistol mod is needed due to all pistol cartridge conversions being converted to their IRL counter parts (aka 9mm). This also gets rid of the "ammo" type gun mods use, primarily in preparation for any mods that add true ammo types.
For this to work fully a new game is needed.
While it partially works without a new game, as all new combat rifles found will be one of these, all existing combat rifles remain untouched.
