Enjoy the Wasteland Melody's Heavy Machine Gun once again with new immersive flavor.

Disclaimer

First of all, WastelandMelody did a great job on his mod, especially in terms of weapon selection and it's visual representation. This gun fits so good in Fallout universe, that Bethesda did actually included the same gun in Fallout 76. BUT...© WM has left a lot of room for improvement in his esp. With my mod I'm trying to fill that gap between looks and feel.
Weapon templates, magic effects, keywords, leveled lists, models, textures, sounds and animations (or lack of them) were left as is. If you experience any issues related to this list, it is most likely a legacy issue from the original mod. I personally tested every weapon modification and every combination myself and did not find any new bugs. Bug reports are welcome tho.

Changes

Aim model
WM's aim model was a direct copy of Bethesda's wimpy Assault Rifle aim model. Not anymore. The aim model has been completely redone from scratch:
+ Caliber appropriate recoil and spread. This thing now kicks like a Deathclaw.
+ Recoil fatigue. Longer bursts -> less control.
+ Barrel types now greatly affect weapon stability. Massive barrels are able to delay recoil fatigue.
+ Aiming down sights will not help you as much as it did before. Your cheek will no longer tame The .50 cal.

Damage
Damage has been completely recalculated according to vanilla math. Here is the new damage chart not affected by perks:
Receiver level                                  Damage
0. Standard / Standard piercing        33.8
1. Hardened / Hardened piercing      46.8
2. Powerful / Powerful piercing         59.8
4. Advanced / Advanced Piercing     72.8
The full mathematical solution can be found here. I'm very proud of it, because vanilla Fallout 4 doesn't have any native .50 cal weapons to refer to. Not to mention a .50 cal full auto.

Weight
Base weapon weight is now in the middle between the Assault Rifle and the Minigun. Weight multiplier of every weapon upgrade has been recalculated according to vanilla math. The actual weapon weight will vary from 25 units to 39.3 units depending on weapon upgrades.

V.A.T.S.
AP cost has been rebalanced. Now it is directly proportional to the barrel weight and inversely proportional to iron sights quality.

Value
Base weapon value is now the same as Fat Man's. Value multiplier of every weapon upgrade also has been recalculated according to vanilla. The actual weapon value will vary from ~1000 to ~1700 depending on weapon upgrades.

Accessibility
Perk requirements were tuned a little bit to relate better to the Handmade Gun upgrade model.

Options
You can download 2 different versions of the mod. One with the diminish spring enabled and the other one with disabled. Diminish spring, a.k.a. auto aim adjustment. If you don't know what it is just stick with diminish spring enabled or check out this mod for better clarification.
