What is Performante ?

Performante :"
Beautiful and fast just like the supercar Lamborghini"

ahh this does not make sense does it? Now let's move on to the actual mod description

Performante : Efficient and Effective
 -Cambridge Dictionary definition

Performante is a Graphical overhaul that relies on NAC X Legacy Edition's customization features to deliver Stunning visuals while not losing out on fast gameplay
It essentially uses Nac FX's features like Sun Intensity, Gamma, Brightness, contrast, Hdr Contrast and so on to change the looks of your game.
Using Mcm settings manager I recorded all the steps I've performed in the Nac X holotape and exported it for sharing.

Why does Performante Exists?

With great visuals comes  s#*# great performance
-Uncle Elcat0

you don’t have to compromise on fps to get great looking visuals
This mod was primarily made for Lower end systems which cannot run Enbs
Performante will transform your fallout 4 experience and make you rethink if you need heavy enbs to make your game look stunning.

Compatibility
Anything that doesn't break Nac X is compatible with this mod
Intensity won't be compatible

Tips :

Make sure to remove Enbs and Reshade files if you have installed already as I cannot make sure how the game will look when you mix them up.

Make sure Nac X is installed correctly alongside the other requirements, all of them are Hard Requirements.

The reason I chose Nac X as the weather mod is because it allowed me to disable vanilla bloom which other mods always had added in my experience at least, It is said to be not the most performance friendly weather mod out there but In my testing it did not kill my fps by any noticable amount or at all but it is something to take a not of.

This Mod will not work with any other weather mod except Nac X legacy Editon.

Read the Stickies.

Questions?

Why Does it Require NAC X legacy Edition?

Performante uses Nac's Customization features, tweaks it and creates a ini file that can be loaded by users to restore my tweaks in your computer.

Just post them and I’ll try to answer whenever I can and maybe create a FAQ if this thing blows up

A small Note from the Author:

I don't have any screenshots to showcase this mod so I uploaded a couple of them which are old but nothing major has been done to the mod after that.

I think the best way to check what this mod offers is by watching the video as there are no other means for me to showcase the work currently

I appreciate if you guys share your screenshots and videos using performante and let me know your thoughts on this and how I can improve upon it (^_^)

How did I create this?

It's a simple mcm settings file that can be loaded via a Mcm settings loader mod. It's like a reshade preset .ini file but instead of relying on external dlls of reshade or enb it uses the weather mod as it's framework and uses it's features for customization,The customization settings are locked in mcm so I used mcm settings manager to export those settings in a single ini file.

How did it all started ? ( backstory and some warm wishes )

I made this mod because Fallout 4 is a fps game and unlike skyim it does not feel okay to play it on anything less than 60 fps

I tried countless enbs from Heaviest to Lightest, One thing I’ve observed from my experience is that no matter what enb you download it will always take up at least 20-30% of your fps and all these on the lightest presets the heaviest will cost you anything around 50% which is nuts in my opinion.

I moved on from enbs and then set out to try something different so I came across Reshade. But yea It does make your game look good but it affects the menus too ( adds the bloom effects and such to everything ) and it wasn’t entirely performance friendly although far lighter than a enb.
Edit : I have found out that there's a mod called FO4 Reshade Helper that solves the issue of reshade affecting menus.

I was almost satisfied using an reshade but still it did not give me full control over the awful vanilla bloom and the only way to disable it completely was to use a enb ( I did my reasearch on this feel free to correct me if im wrong here )

So I started trying out different weather mods out there,

I landed on NAC X legacy edition. And this is where I found the sweet spot, a boot load of customization features built right into the weather mod.
It allowed me to turn off the bloom but it was a tricky one to find as it was under sky luminosity option.
By reducing sky luminosity I was able to make the skies look more detailed and less washed out which was a problem with Reshades as you could either make the sky look okay with washed out shadows or the other way around. This gave my game a HDR look without having crushed shadows or blown out skies . I got excited as this was all done within the game so to complement the new hdr look I started tweaking everything i can to create a more pleasing look to the game.

And at last Why not just share this with the world out there so everyone can enjoy this piece of work. Oh and it’s Christmas so consider this as a small gift from me to everyone out there. Merry Christmas!

Happy gaming lads and lasses (^_^)
