Starting a new year with my first ever mod, so please be gentle with me.
This mod changes TheRizzler1's LAER (Laser Assisted Electrical Rifle) to use Munitions - Ammo Expansion Project's Electron Charge Pack instead of Microfusion Cells. In doing so I ensured to have the model for the LAER changed to use ECPs instead, which gives it a nice flash of red as you pop the little sucker in.
I really like TheRizzler1's LAER (Laser Assisted Electrical Rifle), but I also really like Alexorator's PBW - The LAER.
After watching Dak's video comparing the two LAERs, I was inspired by the way that he says these two weapons could still work in the same world, which got me thinking about how the Institute would treat LAERs compared to how they were treated in New Vegas. Since the Alexorator's LAER is technically a unique weapon that was shipped from Big MT research crater, this further differentiates the two mods while also bridging them together.
Let's be honest—energy weapons in vanilla Fallout 4 are severely lacking in ammunition variation compared to their ballistic counterparts. This is the first of my Electron Charge Pack Extended mod in the works, which will give us a matching level list amount of electron charge packs to work with all Institute weapons and some patches for modded weapons!
