You knew it had to happen sometime? My first blueprint with vanilla-only assets. That's right ... no extra mods required for this one. Just three DLCs and Transfer Settlement Blueprints.
By the way, happy belated new year everyone! So starting this year, I decided to reinstall FO4 from scratch. This provided the opportunity to do something I haven't done before. That is, to build a blueprint with vanilla-only assets. Since I don't have all my other settlement-building mods installed yet, I figured I would upload a wall with guard posts using only vanilla assets.
This blueprint roughly follows the contours of Sanctuary Hills and the building-area boundaries. So I had to scrap some of the bushes and picket fences which actually touch or lie outside of the building area. I also moved the Sanctuary Hills sign outside of the wall.
The boundary comes very close to a couple of the houses, so I had to set things up a little differently. I built the west-facing guard post by attaching flooring to the chem seller's house. On the other side of the settlement, the root seller has to be moved a little to the left to accomodate the wall, since the building-area boundary runs right next to the root-cellar door.
All-in-all, it was an interesting experience for me because I haven't had to build things like they did in the "early days" of FO4 by using platforms and stairs and stuff to place their items. It was kinda fun but a little more tedious. Anyway, this is the result ...
