ABOUT
Radium Rifle Improvements is a small overhaul of the Far Harbor Radium Rifle that includes balance adjustments, Munitions integration, and a new generic, non-irradiated variant called the Scavenger Rifle.

This was heavily inspired by (and uses assets from) JKruse05's excellent Generic Radium Rifle mod.



FEATURES
  • A new weapon in the form of a generic, non-irradiated version of the radium rifle called the Scavenger Rifle. Huge thanks to JKruse05 for letting me use the meshes from his Generic Radium Rifle mod!
  • Radium rifles and Scavenger rifles share the following attachments between each other:
    • Barrels (Standard and Light Barrels only)
    • Grips (All)
    • Muzzles (All)
    • Scopes & Sights (All)
  • The Long and Long Ported barrels were reworked entirely to become Gamma and Improved Gamma barrels. Instead of offering range increases, they instead provide additional radiation damage.
  • The scavenger rifle uses combat rifle sounds in order to differentiate it from the radium rifle.
  • Balance adjustments:
    • Removed the radium rifle's built-in 50 Radiation damage enchantment and instead gave the base weapon +15 Radiation damage. (This was done partially to balance the weapon, but also to allow the Gamma and Improved Gamma barrels to increase radiation damage.)
    • Large magazines now hold 30 rounds, mirroring the actual ammo capacity of the real-world Volkssturmgewehr.
    • Adjusted receivers to match vanilla damage scaling.
    • Base ballistic damage was increased from 27 to 30.
    • Bash damage was increased from 4 to 6.
    • Weapons now use 7.92mm rounds from Munitions.
  • Scavenger Rifle leveled list injection: Weapon will start appearing on Trappers, Trapper bosses, raiders, Railroad agents, Minutemen, bosses, vendors, quest rewards, and as legendary drops starting at level 25.
  • Adjusted crafting requirements for shared attachments- notably, removed many Science! perk requirements and instead changed them to more closely mirror the vanilla combat rifle perk requirements. (Radium Rifle-exclusive attachments like receivers and magazines were not modified.)
  • Adjusted a small handful of names and descriptions.

INSTALLATION
Install using a mod manager such as MO2 or Vortex.



COMPATIBILITY & KNOWN ISSUES
This mod is potentially incompatible with any other mod that touches the Far Harbor Radium Rifle. This includes mods such as Tactical Reload and See Through Scopes. Please note that I do not use either mod, so I am unable to provide a patch for them.

This mod is fully compatible with Cadavver's Radium Rifle Reload Animation mod and Degenerate Dak's West-Tek Optics Pack mod. Both are optional, but highly recommended for the best experience.
