Version 1.0.1
Added FOMOD installer with the option to install a merged esp with A Bit of Wind For NAC X
NAC X comes with a built-in feature to darken the nights, but unfortunately this feature isn't good. The Darker Nights setting doesn't change anything about the world's actual lighting. What it does is place a filter over your screen image to adjust values such as brightness and contrast to create the illusion of reduced lighting. The problem with this solution is that it is not selective. This filter alters everything on your screen, which changes the appearance of colors and can make light sources such as flashlights and fires not appear as strong and realistic as they should.
This mod instead changes many of the colors in the weather records to reduce the light they produce at night. Sunrise and sunset colors were also altered to ensure a smooth transition between day and night. This mod was inspired by Darker Nights, the values for this mod being derived by the changes Darker Nights made to the original weathers but altered to fit the NAC X weather colors. This mod also makes some slight changes to the times of sunrise and sunset to make the times a bit more reasonable.
This mod is designed to be a better alternative to the built-in darker nights setting in NAC X. Do not turn on that setting with this mod unless you want to stare at a near black screen.
Important notice about NAC X patches:
Most NAC X patches apply their changes by altering the weather records directly. This means that many patches will not work together out of the box and only the lowest patch in the load order will be applied. To use several patches at once you will be required to merge the changes from each patch into one mod in FO4edit.
This mod includes 2 options for baked in patches. One for A Bit of Wind for NAC X and one for Realistic Winds - NAC X Patch. Due to the nature of how the edits are made the original mods are not needed for the patches, but PLEASE remember to download and endorse them anyways.
