Thinking back, I lost count how many times I NAIVELY and PERSISTENTLY built walls around my settlements (even here) even after knowing that they don't work the way it was intended in real life because of ONE REASON, Bethesda. I was STUPID for the first few hundred hours when I was playing this game for the first time...

Well, what's important here is that I don't remain stupid forever. EXPERIENCE is what matters and after 4000 hours, I found a building method that works (for me at least) and sticks with it and only improve the build methods and policies from then on out.
It sucks that there unscrappable structures and objects that you just CAN'T get rid of without risking crashes to your game... and they ALWAYS find a way to get in the way of your builds.
